The Simply Leaves Card Class @ Home (CC@H) includes three fall card designs featuring the Simply Leaves Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives. One of the things I enjoy about paper crafting is finding unexpected ways to use my stamps, punches, and dies. Card 2 is a perfect example because instead of using the leaf images only as leaves, I turned them into the petals of one BIG fall flower!

The Simply Leaves Bundle includes the Simply Leaves Stamp Set and Simple Leaf Punch, and that punch makes creating this large flower so much easier. I stamped five of the dotted leaf images in Golden Glow ink and punched them out. By arranging the leaves around an Early Espresso circle, those leaves suddenly become flower petals! I tucked a couple of Peaceful Pine stamped leaves behind the flower to complete the look. The finished flower is large, cheerful, and makes a wonderful focal point. I added the “A little something to say hello” greeting alongside it for a card that could be sent for all sorts of occasions.
This card doesn’t actually have any of the Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) featured in this class on it. Instead, I added interest to the background with a Crumb Cake cardstock layer embossed with the new Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is another sneak peek of a new product that will be available beginning September 1! I love the checked texture behind the large flower. It gives the background plenty of detail while still letting that fun flower made from the Simply Leaves images be the star of the card. If you earn my CC@H card kits, I’ll do this embossing for you, as usual, so your Crumb Cake layer will be ready to use when your kit arrives.
The Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots, which are also coming September 1, are the perfect finishing touch. I added several to the card front, including one near the greeting and two in the upper-right area. Their warm gold finish looks especially pretty with the golden flower. The card kits for this class include a row of these new Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots, giving you enough to embellish the class cards.
Inside the card, I added a Basic White layer and stamped a row of overlapping green leaves down the left side. The leaves decorate the inside while leaving plenty of open space for your handwritten message.
