Serene Silhouettes Father's Day Card

In case you were wondering, I am still alive! lol  I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted.  My daughter, Steph, has now graduated from high school, and we had her open house a little over a week ago.  I thought things would get back to normal, but they haven't.  Now, I'm playing math teacher to my son.  He's taking his second semester of Algebra II online, and is having some trouble with it.  It's a little hard to complete an 18 week course in 8 weeks, especially when you have trouble with Algebra.  I'm having to go through the lessons with him so I can re-learn Algebra again.  That way, I can try to help him understand.  It's been 27 years since I took Algebra II, and I think it's harder than it was in my time.  Praying he can get it all done by the deadline!

I'm going to try and post more from here on out, and I should be back to normal by August.  At least, let's hope!  Today's card is the one that I made my hubby for Father's Day.  I'm so in LOVE with this new stamp set, Serene Silhouettes (p. 75).  The greeting came from the set, Teeny Tiny Wishes (p. 133).

I think sponging a sunset is my favorite technique when using silhouette stamps, and I just had to use it on this one.  I put the ink onto the card stock with Sponge Daubers (p. 179).  Starting from the bottom, the colors are Old Olive, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, and Midnight Muse.  Then, I stamped the tree silhouette in Early Espresso ink.  The designer paper I used is a new pack called Comfort Cafe DSP (p. 163).  The More Mustard strip was embossed with the new Fancy Fan Impressions Folder (p. 189).  I also like these new buttons called Naturals Designer Buttons (p. 176).  I think they look great on masculine projects.  Of course, they're good on a lot of other kinds of projects, too!  I attached the button with a Mini Glue Dot (p. 177).  The matted image layer was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (p. 177).

A New Catalog AND Two Wonderful New Promotions

I can't believe it!  I was already excited about today being the first day to order from the new catalog, but there are two wonderful promotions that start today, too!

The new catalog has so many wonderful new stamp sets, In Colors, embellishments, dies, and stampin' tools!  I know you're going to LOVE it as much as I do.  To get links to see the catalog online, please go to my STAMPIN' UP! CATALOGS page.

As I've stated before, the new customizable starter kit is only $99, and that's already a great deal!  Now, if you sign-up to become a demonstrator during June, you can also get a few of the Patio Party Suite products added at no extra cost!  To see the flyer with the items included CLICK HERE.  If you would like to join my Stampin' Up! family, just click on the first picture below, and then click "Join Now" once you're there.

The second promotion is for workshop hostesses.  Host a $450 or higher (before shipping & tax) workshop in June or July, and get an EXTRA $50 in free products of your choice!  That means if a workshop gets to at least $450 (before shipping & tax), a hostess will earn at least $115 in free product plus one item @ 50% off!  I'm sure everyone would love to earn that much free stampin' stuff!  If you would like to take advantage of this wonderful promotion, please CONTACT ME.  Online orders DO NOT qualify.
