We're Finally Moving!

A lot of you know this, but for those that don't, we've been trying to sell our house since February. We just got an offer last Friday, and we've accepted it! The couple buying it is definitely motivated, because they've already got an inspector coming out today! We should be moved into our new house sometime in August.

We couldn't wait to get an offer, and now that we have one, everything is going pretty fast! With that said, I'm going to have to cancel the New Catalog Debut Open House I was going to have on Saturday, July 11. I hate to do this, but we've got so much to do to get ready for the move that there is just no way I can have the open house now. I am planning on having an open house to show off my new stamping area once we've moved. I'm hoping to have it in late August or early September. I'll let you all know as soon as I can.

Even though the open house for the new catalog isn't happening, I'm going to offer the specials I was going to have. There are three specials, and they are good between now and Wednesday, July 8. The specials are:

Buy a new catalog for $5 (that's 50% off!)

Order any new In Color ink pads, card stock, markers, or ribbon @ 10% off!

Place a $65 order and get the new catalog free!

I won't be able to place orders from the new catalog until late Wednesday afternoon, but you can get your catalog now. If you can't come pick up your catalog at my house and need it shipped to you, there will be an additional $5 for shipping.

I was going to have specials for upcoming classes, but since there aren't any right now, I'll do that at the open house I'll have at the new house.

I'm also going to take pictures of the retired sets I have for sale and put them here on my blog. You can look them over and let me know if you would like to purchase any of them. I'll get that done as soon as I can.
One more thing, I won't be able to post every weekday as usual, but I will post as much as I can. I do have a card ready to post, and I'll do that tomorrow.

An Oldie But a Goodie!

Today's card was made using the wonderful stamp set, Lovely as a Tree. This set has been around for quite awhile now, but it's still very popular. I made this card for my dad for Father's Day. I used the Poppin' Pastels technique with the tree. That's when you stamp the tree in VersaMark and then color it with our Stampin' Pastels chalks. The chalk sticks to the VersaMark. It's really a fun way to color this gorgeous tree.

Stamps: Lovely as a Tree & Teeny Tiny Wishes (new set)

Ink: VersaMark ink pad; Elegant Eggplant Classic ink pad

Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, & Naturals White card stock

Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Texture Plates Kit #4, Modern Label Punch (new), Word Window Punch, Stampin' Pastels, Sponge Daubers, Crop-A-Dile, & Antique Brass Jumbo eyelets.

Technique Stamp Club Projects

Tonight and tomorrow morning is when my Technique Stamp Club will be meeting to make their monthly projects. Every month, they come to place their order, make a new technique flip card for their binder ring and make either a card or scrapbook page using the technique. We always have a lot of fun together. This month, they'll be learning a technique I just learned called "Embossed Reinker Spread Technique." It's really a lot of fun. Below, you'll see the scrapbook page and the card they had to choose from.

Sneak Peek Set - Autumn Days

How do you like the look of my new blog? I visit other blogs, and a couple of them had just changed the layout of their blogs. I clicked on the link that was on their blog (now it's on mine, too), and found a great site with free blog layouts. I'll probably keep this one for awhile, unless of course they come up with one I like even better. I did lose some of the links I had on my sidebars, but it only took me a little while to get them back on and in the correct order.

Okay, back to today's card. I made this card for my husband on Father's Day. I really like this set. It's perfect for masculine projects. This set is called Autumn Days. I also used another sneak peek set, Teeny Tiny Wishes and a sneak peek punch, Modern Label punch.

How do you like the sunset background? I learned this technique from one of my demonstrator friends, Annette Harling. Would you like to know how I did it? Well, here's how you do it.

1. I put More Mustard ink on my brayer, and brayered over a piece of Whisper White card stock until completely covered.

2. I punched out a circle from a post-it note using my 1-3/8" circle punch, making sure to have some of the adhesive from the post-it on the back of the circle.

3. I placed the circle where I wanted the sun. Then, I inked up my brayer with Pumpkin Pie ink, and brayered over the card stock again. Then I removed the circle to reveal the More Mustard ink underneath.

4. Then, I stamped the wheat stalks using Chocolate Chip ink. I also sponged some Bravo Burgundy onto the Pumpkin Pie background for some texture. I stamped the pheasant on another piece of card stock and cut out. Then, I placed it where I wanted it in my wheat field.

Stamps: Autumn Days & Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, Bravo Burgundy, & Not Quite Navy Classic Ink

Paper: Not Quite Navy, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, & Whisper White card stock

Accessories: Brayer, 1-3/8" Circle, Modern Label & Word Window punches; Paper Snips, Vintage Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Texture Plates Kit #4 Texturz Plates, & post-it note

Another Sneak Peek Set

Here is another one of my new stamp sets, Circle Circus. This set is really cute. Circles are in right now, and this set has a lot of great ones! They can all be easily punched out with one of our circle punches, so you don't have to cut them out! I love that!

I made this 6" x 6" page last week. This picture was taken a few years ago of our 3 kids. All three of them are teenagers now, and both girls are driving! EEEK! This set, along with the new In Colors really go well with this picture. It didn't take me long to make at all, and I think it looks pretty good, too!

Stamps: Circle Circus Set

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, & Bermuda Bay Classic Ink Pads

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, & Whisper White card stock

Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1", 3/4", & 1/2" Circle Punches; Stampin' Dimensionals, & Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads.

This set is definitely a keeper! Actually, almost everything I used is from the new catalog. The designer paper is the Razzleberry Lemonade paper I've used before, too.

The layout that I used is pictured on the right. If you would like to visit the Mojo Monday blog, just click on the layout picture.

One More Stamp Camp Project

Here is another project that will be made at my Going, Going...Gone Stamp Camp this Friday, June 19.

I've only been able to go to one Stampin' Up! Convention, and this set, Heartfelt Thanks, was a new set that I was able to buy at a big discount while attending back in the summer of 2004. I've always liked this set, and I hate to see it go. It has been around for 5 years, and that's pretty good for a stamp set. I also used the retiring Hugs & Wishes set, retiring Parisian Breeze DSP, and 2 of the retiring In Colors.

If you would like to learn more about this camp, go to my
EVENTS CALENDAR. If you would like to attend, please LET ME KNOW by tomorrow (Wednesday).

Stamp Sets: Heartfelt Thanks & Hugs and Wishes

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Baja Breeze, & Kiwi Kiss Classic ink pads

Paper: Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Close to Cocoa, & Very Vanilla card stock, Parisian Breeze Specialty designer paper

This card uses the new Level 3 hostess set, Kind & Caring Thoughts. I also used three of the new In Color colors and a new designer paper. This stamp set is wonderful. There are 3 different flower images and 9 sayings. I'm going to be using this set a lot!

If you want this stamp set, you'll have to host a workshop beginning in July! If you are interested in booking a workshop, let me know!

I'm also in love with the new In Colors. They are so beautiful and colorful. I really think you're going to love them, too! Don't you just love the polka-dot ribbon? They come in all 6 In Colors, too!

Date Change for Going, Going...Gone Camp

I've had some family things come up, and I'm going to have to change the date of my Going, Going...Gone Stamp Camp. It is now going to be on Friday, June 19 @ 6:30 p.m. To find out more about this camp, go to my events calendar.

The card above is one of the projects being made. I used the MojoMonday sketch for this week to make this card. You can find other great sketches at the MojoMonday website.
As you can see, I had to move the circle image over to the right a little bit. The giraffe was just a little too tall to put it in the center. I've had some of you request that we make a project using sticky cuts and glitter, so I used the heart from the Sticky Cuts Letters and the Chunky Sprinkles glitter on this card.

Meet Shelli!

Stampin' Up! started it's own YouTube Channel about 3 weeks ago. I really love what they've put in it so far. There are so many project videos on this channel already. The video I'm posting here is a video that let's everyone meet the co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!, Shelli Garner. She's a wonderful lady, and it's interesting learning how this company started.

I've also embedded the channel at the bottom of my blog. Just scroll to the bottom of this page to see it. I hope you enjoy this channel as much as I am!

Last Chance Lists are Here!

It's hard to believe that this catalog is ending already! Beginning with the catalog coming out July 1st, Stampin' Up! will be back to one Idea Book & Catalog a year. They'll still have the Holiday mini and Occasions mini like before.

With the last month of the catalog upon us, the Last Chance Lists have come out. If you don't recognize the name, it's because it's changed. It used to be known as the retiring lists. Links to the Last Chance Lists for the stamp sets (alphabetically listed and numerical page # listed), accessories, and Decor Elements are below. The stamp sets and Decor Elements will be available until June 30, 2009. The accessories are available while supplies last or June 30, 2009...whichever comes first.

The best way to get the accessories you want before they're gone is to ORDER ONLINE. You'll know as soon as you place your order if the accessories you want are still available or not. Of course, you can also order anything else you want while you're there. If you have any questions, please CONTACT ME.

Occasions Mini Set - Forest Friends

Only 2 more days of Occasions Mini sets left! There is one stamp set that I don't have samples for (An Egg-cellent Easter on p. 12), but I have been able to show you samples for the rest of the sets and the designer paper. Today's stamp set is Forest Friends (#113748). I've shown cards with this set before, but these are two different ones. The card on the left was made by Terri Boyd, and the one on the right is Michelle Tech.

The one on the left looks like a graduation cap. Don't you just love the tassel made with embroidery floss? It opens up to a gold "Congrats!" (below).

The set is on p. 19 in the mini. It is a set of 4 stamps for only $14.95. You can ORDER ONLINE, or CONTACT ME and I'll order it for you. This set is only available until June 30th.
