Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Christy Fulk - Create With Christy - USA, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

For my main retiring product, I picked the super cute Garden Girl Stamp Set. I was so disappointed that this one retired so quick. I've been wanting it ever since it came out last year, but didn't get it until a few months ago. I just had to make at least one more card with it. Stamp sets are guaranteed until May 25, but after that, they're while supplies last (or until May 31). I also used the retiring colors, Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky. These are already while supplies last (or until May 31).

I also paired it with the BRAND NEW stamp set, Love What You Do. This set has some beautiful flowers in it, and I stamped them to show above the fence. The greeting also comes from this stamp set. This stamp set is featured in the Stampin' Up! Promotion in May. There will be three bundles, all include this stamp set, that have items from a new suite from the upcoming annual catalog called "Share What You Love." All of the products in the bundles, except the Statement of My Heart Stamp Set, will be in the upcoming annual catalog, but the bundles will not be. Each bundle includes one to three free products, so they're a great value. Come back on May 1 to find out about these wonderful bundles which will be available May 1-31, 2018!

Dimensions:
  • Rich Razzleberry:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Basic Black:  5-1/4" x 4" (base layer)
  • Crumb Cake:  4-1/2" x 1-3/4" (fence)
  • Whisper White:  5-1/8" x 3-7/8" (image base) & 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" (girl and bird)

Instructions:
  1. Stamp the "It's a Beautiful Day" stamp from the Love What You Do Stamp Set onto the top, right corner of the Whisper White image base piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the medium-sized flower stem stamp from the same stamp set onto the piece using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it two times on each side, along the bottom of the piece. Stamp the two, inside ones a little higher than the two outer ones. Color the two outer flowers with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the inner flowers in with the Pumpkin Pie Dark Stampin' Blends Marker. Using a Stamping Sponge, sponge ink over the white part of the piece using the Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad.
  2. Fold the Rich Razzleberry piece in half (fold on top) to form the card base. Attach the stamped piece from Step 1 to the center of the Basic Black piece. Then, attach it to the center of the card front.
  3. Stamp the girl stamp from the Garden Girl Stamp Set onto one end of the last Whisper White piece using the Memento Pad. Stamp the bird stamp from the same stamp set onto the piece using the same ink pad. Color the girl's dress and hair bows with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color her skin with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker. Color her lips with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blend Marker. Color her hair with the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker. Lighten up the top, left side of her hair with the Color Lifter. Color her boots and the bird with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color the carrots in with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack & Old Olive Light Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the basket with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Fussy cut the bird and girl out.
  4. Stamp the fence stamp from the Garden Girl Stamp Set onto the Crumb Cake piece two times using the Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad.
  5. Attach the girl to the center of the card, in-between the two sets of flowers, only putting SNAIL Adhesive onto the center part of her. This makes her look a little more 3D. Attach a fence piece to each side of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the bird to the top of the left fence section.

When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.

The supplies list does include the Love What You Love Suite products, but they won't be available until May 1-31, 2018 in bundles. The Stampin' Blends that are listed aren't available to purchase, but they will be sometime in May.

If you have trouble opening the tutorial, make sure you have an updated pdf reader.

Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop - Bon Voyage Retiring In Colors

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for April 2018. This month our theme is Bon Voyage Retiring In-Colors!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Christy Fulk @ Create With Christy, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

I chose to feature the retiring 2016-2018 In Color, Sweet Sugarplum. This color, and Dapper Denim, will be the In Colors that I miss the most. I paired it with a past In Color that is coming back...Mint Macaron! I'm so glad this color is coming back! I love it!

I decided to pair the retiring Sweet Sugarplum color with some BRAND NEW products. I used items from the Love What You Do Suite from the upcoming 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catlaog. I used the Love What You Do Stamp Set, Pearlized Doilies, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon, Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. I just got these items, and I can already tell that I'm going to love them all! I had so much fun making this card.

I have great news! You can get the gorgeous products in this suite early, too! Stampin' Up! will be offering three different bundles consisting of products in the suite May 1 - 31, 2018. Each bundle will include one to three FREE item, too! These bundles will not be offered in the annual catalog that starts on June 1, so if you want to get the best bang for your buck, you'll want to purchase one of these great bundles! I'll post more information on this special soon.

I also added another product that is retiring, the beautiful Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack. I think it looks great with the new products. This paper is still available to purchase, but you'll need to hurry. It's only available while supplies last, or May 31, 2018...whichever comes first.

Dimensions:
  • Sweet Sugarplum:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Mint Macaron:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Whisper White:  2" x 3" (flowers)
  • Petal Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 1-1/2"
  • Pearlized Doilies:  1
  • Share What You Love Embellishment Kit:  1 narrow label and 1 flower
  • Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon:  6"

Instructions:
  1. Emboss the Mint Macaron piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Put SNAIL Adhesive along the top edge of the back of the DSP piece. Attach the bottom part of the doily to it (the edge of the DSP should be just below the open circle center of the doily). Then, attach the DSP across the bottom part of the Mint Macaraon piece (see picture). Wrap the ribbon across the center of the DSP, and attach the ends to the back of the Mint Macaron piece.
  2. Fold the Sweet Sugarplum piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed/DSP piece to the center of the card front.
  3. Stamp the "thank you" stamp from  the Love What You Do Stamp Set onto the center of a narrow label from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit using the Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the label to the right side of the card, over the ribbon, using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. Stamp the larger flowers stamp onto the Whisper White piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the medium-sized brushstroke stamp on top of each flower using the Sweet Sugarplum Classic Stampin' Pad. Fussy cut the flowers out.
  5. Attach the flowers to the left side of the label (see picture) using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach a flower embellishment from the embellishment kit (it's self-adhesive) onto the flower/label (see picture).

When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.

The supplies list does include the Love What You Love Suite products, but they won't be available until May 1-31, 2018 in bundles. You can buy them separately beginning June 1. The Mint Macaron Cardstock won't be available until June 1, and I couldn't add it to the list when it was written in April.

If you have trouble opening the tutorial, make sure you have an updated pdf reader

Masculine Birthday Card - Truly Tailored (retiring)

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Boy, this weather is crazy! We were close to 80 last Friday, we were in the 30s and it snowed again on Monday (thankfully none of it stuck, since the ground is too warm), and today, it's supposed to be in the 60s again! I'm ready for this weather cycle to end! I'm ready for Spring weather only! LoL Hopefully, Monday was the last day of winter weather until next winter!

Well, to more fun things to talk about. Here's the card I promised to show you last Saturday. This is the card I made for my dad for his birthday. I was inspired from a card I saw on Pinterest. It was made by Angela McKay.

I used the retiring Truly Tailored Stamp Set, True Gentleman Designer Series Paper (DSP), and Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog. I also used the retiring Bow Builder Punch from the Annual Catalog. I'm really going to miss all of these items! I absolutely LOVE the DSP and that corduroy ribbon!

Dimensions:

  • Crumb Cake:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base), 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" (embossed layer mat), & 3" x 5" (circle mat and tag)
  • Tranquil Tide:  2" x 4" (embossed layer)
  • Very Vanilla:  3" x 3" (circle) & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside layer)
  • True Gentleman Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer), 4" x 1" (bow tie paper-front), 4" x 1/2" (bow tie-inside), 4" x 3/4" (bottom inside), and scraps (bow tie)
  • Night of Navy 3/8" Corduroy Ribbon:  6"

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Crumb Cake card base piece in half (fold on the left) to form card base. Attach the bow tie paper-front piece across the bottom of the DSP base layer piece. Wrap the corduroy ribbon around the top edge of the bow tie layer, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the DSP base layer piece. Then, attach the whole thing to the center of the card front.
  2. Emboss the Tranquil Tide piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the piece to the center of the Crumb Cake embossed layer mat piece. Then, attach it to the left side of the card (see left picture).
  3. Ink the words on the "Wishing You a Dapper Day" stamp from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set with the Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad. Ink the mustache and mouth with the Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it onto the center of the Very Vanilla circle piece. Die-cut it out using the third, largest circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies. Die-cut another circle out of one end of the last Crumb Cake piece using the second, largest circle die. Attach the stamped circle onto the center of the Crumb Cake circle. Then, attach it to the top, right-side of the embossed layer using Stampin' Dimensionals (see left picture).
  4. Stamp the "Classy Kind of Guy" stamp onto the other end of the last Crumb Cake piece using the Night of Navy ink pad. Punch it out with the Tailored Tag Punch. From a scrap piece of the plaid paper from the DSP pack, punch out one of the small rectangle section and two of the bow section (oval-like/tabbed ends) of the Bow Builder Punch. Put a Mini Glue Dot onto one of the tab ends of a bow piece, bend the piece so both tabs are on the same side, and attach the tab ends together. Do the same with the other bow piece. Put a Mini Glue Dot onto the tab of one of the bow pieces, and attach the tab of the other bow piece to it to form the bow. Put a Mini Glue Dot onto each end of the rectangle piece. Wrap the rectangle around the middle of the bow, attach both ends to the back of the bow. Attach the bow tie to the top, center of the greeting tag using another Mini Glue Dot. Attach the tag to the bottom, left of the circle using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. Inside of card: Attach the DSP bottom inside piece across the bottom of the Very Vanilla inside layer piece. Attach the DSP bow tie-inside piece across the top of the first DSP strip. Stamp the "Today is Your Day..." stamp onto the top, center of the piece using the Chocolate Chip ink pad. Stamp the "Hoping Your Birthday..." stamp underneath the first using the Night of Navy ink pad (see right picture).

When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.

Short & Sweet Saturday - Truly Tailored

I hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday! I was about 5-10 minutes away from getting this posted about 5 hours ago, but we needed to leave to go celebrate my dad's birthday with him & Mom. We just got back, so I wanted to hurry up and finish it so it still gets posted on Saturday. LoL

I made a birthday card for Dad using this stamp set, Truly Tailored, and decided to make another quick and easy card for this week's Short & Sweet Saturday card. Yes, I'll be sharing my dad's card in a few days.

If you're needing to make a masculine card quick, this stamp set is perfect! I'm sad to say that it is retiring. You still have time to get it, though! They're going to keep making them until the middle part of May, and then they'll be while supplies last until May 31, 2018. The True Gentleman Designer Series Paper and Buttons are also retiring, but these are already while supplies last, so you might want to hurry! Click Here to find out about everything that's retiring.

Dimensions:
  • Night Of Navy:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Crumb Cake:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Tranquil Tide:  3" x 2" (label mat)
  • Very Vanilla:  3" x 2" (label)
  • True Gentleman Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 2" (plaid layer)
  • Night of Navy 3/8" Corduroy Ribbon:  6"
  • True Gentleman Buttons:  1 large button

Instructions:
  1. Emboss the Crumb Cake piece from the True Gentleman Cardstock Pack by running it through the Big Shot with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Fold the Night of Navy piece from the same cardstock pack in half (fold on the left) to form the card base.
  2. Lay the DSP piece onto the Stampin' Trimmer, with the 2" sides on the top and bottom. Line the bottom, right corner over the groove in the trimmer, and line the top, right corner with the 1" mark on the right side of the trimmer, and cut. Attach the larger piece to the bottom of the embossed layer. Wrap the ribbon along the top edge of the DSP, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the embossed piece. Attach it to the middle of the card base front.
  3. Stamp the "Lookin' Sharp" stamp  from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set onto the Very Vanilla piece using the Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad. Fussy cut the image out with Paper Snips. Punch a label out of the Tranquil Tide piece from the True Gentleman Cardstock Pack using the Tailored Tag Punch. Attach the stamped label onto the center of the Tranquil Tide one. Attach it to the right side of the card, over the ribbon, using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. Attach the largest button from the True Gentleman Buttons onto the bottom, right corner of the DSP layer using one or two Mini Glue Dots.

When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.

If you have trouble opening the tutorial, make sure your pdf reader is updated to the most current version

April Online Order Thank You Card

Here's the long-awaited Online Order Thank You Card for April. It's been a week since I've been able to make anything, and it felt so good to make a card again! The basement isn't done yet, but I've done all I can do on it until this weekend.

Any size online order at my Online Store gets this card as a thank you. Use this month's Host Code, 72QNZD7N, and you'll receive the instructions on how to make it as well. If your order is over $150 (before shipping & tax) DO NOT use the host code. This way, you'll get the Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up! AND get the instructions to the card.

Of course, I used my April Host Code Giveaway, Stampin' Dimensionals. It's actually half of  my giveaway. I'm giving the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals away, too! Click Here to find out how you can get both packs of Dimensionals FREE from me this month.

I used a few of the retiring items from the Annual Catalog and Occasions Catalog on this card, too. I used the Blooms & Wishes Stamp Set and White Perfect Accents from the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, and the Painted With Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and Lemon Lime Twist 3/8" Mini Striped Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.

I'm not sharing the instructions for this card as I usually do, because they are exclusive to those that place a qualifying order from me at my ONLINE STORE in April.

If you can't see the supply list below, you'll need to go to the original blog post.
