Tags & Trimmings - With Foil Snowflakes

This is the first project that I've made with the Tags & Trimmings Bundle. I plan on making a stocking with it soon, but wanted to start off with a card. I also wanted to show another project made with the beautiful Foil Snowflakes! I'm having so much fun with these snowflakes!

If you would like to get these Foil Snowflakes free from me, you only have until midnight (ET) tomorrow! CLICK HERE to find out how!

Dimensions:
  • Cherry Cobbler:  4-1/4" x 11" (card base)
  • Garden Green:  3-7/8" x 5-1/8" (base layer)
  • Whisper White:  3-3/4" x 5" (embossed layer), 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" (leaves & buttons), & 3-3/4" x 1" (banner)
  • Be Merry Designer Series Paper (DSP):  3-3/4" x 1-1/2"
  • Foil Snowflakes:  1 Silver
  • Metallic Enamel Shapes (1 large silver dot and 2 small silver dots)
Instructions:
  1. Emboss the bottom, right corner of the largest Whisper White piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the DSP strip across the middle of the embossed snowflake. Put SNAIL Adhesive onto the back of the center section of a silver snowflake from the Foil Snowflakes, and attach it to the center of the embossed snowflake. Line the shorter extensions of the foil snowflake with the longer extensions of the embossed snowflake. Trim the little tips of the silver snowflake that are hanging over the right side of the Whisper White piece. Attach it to the center of the Garden Green piece. Fold the Cherry Cobbler piece in half (fold on top) to form the card base. Attach the Garden Green layer to the card base.
  2. Punch the left, short end of the smallest Whisper White piece using the Banner Triple Punch. With the punched end on the left, stamp the "Celebrate the season" stamp from the Tags & Trimmings Stamp Set onto the left side of the banner piece using the Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad. With the right, straight edge of the banner lined up with the right edge of the Whisper White embossed layer, attach the banner across the center of the snowflake/DSP, using SNAIL.
  3. Stamp the largest leaf stamp onto the last Whisper White piece once, using the Garden Green ink pad. Stamp the smallest leaf stamp onto the same piece two times, using the same ink pad. Stamp the smallest button stamp onto the same piece three times, using the Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the largest leaf out with the largest leaf die from the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies, lining the center line of the stamped leaf with the pointed, ends of the die. The stamped image is larger than the die. Die-cut the two smaller leaves with the smallest leaf die, lining the center lines of the stamped leaves the same as the largest leaf. Die-cut the buttons out with the largest circle die.
  4. Attach the leaves and buttons to the card (see picture for placement). The largest leaf is the center leaf, and the center button is put on with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
  5. Attach one large silver dot and two small silver dots from the Metallic Enamel Shapes (see picture for placement).

The Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop - Give Thanks

Welcome to the Remarkable InkBig Blog Hop for October 2017. This month our theme is Give Thanks!  You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Christy Fulk @ Create With Christy or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Of course, the first stamp set I thought of for the "Give Thanks" theme was the Painted Harvest stamp set. I made the pillow box first, and wanted to make a card to go along with it. The pillow box was made using the pillow box die in the Trim Your Stocking Thinlits Dies. Yes, it can be used for more than just Christmas stockings!

I've seen a lot of people make a little frame to put on their cards made with their Painted Harvest Stamp Set, and I just had to do one myself. It was made with the Layering Squares Dies.

Click the picture below to get the instructions for both projects.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Christy Fulk @ Create With Christy, so check the blog hop line-up list to see who is next in the list.

Spooky Cat Pizza Box

Happy Friday, everyone! I had hoped to make a video on how to make this treat pizza box, but I woke up sick this morning. My hubby has had a bad chest cold, and I'm afraid I'm getting it now. My voice doesn't sound too great, so that doesn't work well with a video. LoL I have done one of my regular pdf instruction sheets for you, though.

This box would be perfect for a cookie, but I didn't have one on hand, so I put some chocolate in. Chocolate is always good! 😉 You won't believe how fast this goes together. It would be very easy to mass produce. Of course, it could be adapted to a Christmas treat box by adding Christmas images, and using Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). All of the DSP and window sheet dimensions in the instructions below won't need to be changed at all.

Dimensions:
  • Basic Gray:  3" x 2-1/4" (cat)
  • Cajun Craze & Whisper White:  scraps (greeting)
  • Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP):  3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (box lid), (4) 3-1/4" x 3/4" (sides of box), 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (scallop frame)
  • Vintage Crochet Trim:  1"
  • Black Rhinestone Jewels:  1 medium & 1 small
  • Window Sheet:  3" x 3"
  • Pizza Box:  1
Instructions:
  1. Lay the pizza box down so the matte side is facing up. Attach the "box lid" DSP piece to the center of the box lid section (sections with the half-circle cut). Attach the "sides of box" DSP pieces across the center of the side sections of the box.
  2. Lay the #5 circle die (with the smallest being #1) from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies onto the center of the lid, and run it through the Big Shot using the following sandwich:  (beginning from the bottom) Big Shot Platform with thin die adapter, Standard Cutting Pad, box, die, and Standard Cutting Pad. Put Tear & Tape Adhesive along all four edges of the Window Sheet piece. Remove the paper-backing from the adhesive, and attach the Window Sheet onto the center of the lid section, on the inside (shiny side) of the box. This will turn the opening just made into a "window".
  3. Die-cut a scallop circle out of the "scallop frame" DSP piece using the second, largest scallop circle die. Die-cut a circle out of the middle of the scallop circle die-cut using the #5 circle die. Attach the scallop circle frame around the window of the box (on DSP side of lid).
  4. Punch a cat out of the Basic Gray piece using the Cat Punch. Stamp the eyes/nose stamp from the Spooky Cat Stamp Set onto the cat's face using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Wrap the Vintage Crochet Trim around the cat's neck, and attach the ends to the back of the cat's neck. Attach a medium-sized rhinestone from the Black Rhinestone Jewels to the bottom, center of the crochet trim. Attach a small rhinestone underneath the medium-sized one. Attach the cat to the bottom, left corner of the box lid using Stampin' Dimensionals (see first picture in pdf below).
  5. Stamp the "Eat at your own risk" stamp onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Memento Pad. Die-cut it out with the smallest circle die. Die-cut a scallop circle out of a scrap piece of Cajun Craze Cardstock using the second, smallest scallop circle die. Attach the greeting circle onto the center of the scallop circle, and attach it to the top, right corner of the box using Stampin' Dimensionals (see first picture in pdf below).
  6. Fold the box along it's score lines to put it together.

Snowflake Quilt Christmas Card

Wow, I'm a little late with this one. LoL I wanted to make a Christmas card that used non-traditional colors, and this is what I came up with. I used some of the colors in the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack. Of course, I just had to add a Foil Snowflake! If you would like to get these Foil Snowflakes, I'm offering a full pack of them with a qualifying order this month. CLICK HERE to find out how. You can see my other Foil Snowflake projects HERE.

Dimensions:
  • Real Red:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer) & 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" (quilt image)
  • Lemon Lime Twist & Blushing Bride:  scraps
  • Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack:  4" x 2"
  • Foil Snowflakes:  1 Silver
  • Clear Faceted Gems:  1 Large
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the "Have yourself..." stamp from the Christmas Quilt Stamp Set onto the bottom, right corner of the larger Whisper White piece using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad. Emboss the top half of the piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Fold the Real Red piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the Whisper White embossed piece onto the card base.
  2. Stamp the stitched, quilt outline stamp onto the smaller Whisper White piece using the Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the dotted, double-diamond shape stamp onto two opposite sections of the quilt outline using the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad. Skip the next set of opposite sections, and stamp the next set the same way. Stamp the remaining quilt outline sections with the striped, double-diamond shape stamp using the Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the image out with its coordinating die from the Quilt Builder Framelits Dies. Attach the die-cut to the center of a silver snowflake from the Foil Snowflakes. Attach the snowflake onto the center of the DSP piece. Attach the DSP/snowflake across the embossed layer, just above the greeting. Attach a large gem from the Clear Faceted Gems to the center of the quilt piece.
  3. Die-cut the larger leaf die two times from a scrap piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Die-cut the small flower die three times from a scrap piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock. Attach the two leaves to the left of the greeting, and then attach the three flowers to the leaves using Mini Glue Dots. It should look like holly when finished.
