Blessed Christmas Wishes - Night in Bethlehem

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It was a little rainy here, but we really needed the rain, so no complaints here.

Today's card is the last card design for my upcoming Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack. It features the Night in Bethlehem Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. I actually got this card idea from Brandi at Stampin' Up! Some people ask me if Stampin' Up! helps us with project ideas, and the answer is yes. I made it exactly like the one Stampin' Up! shared, but I did make a couple changes. I added the gold glitter star to the front of the card, and I decorated the inside of the card. The star really glitters in person. The pictures don't give it justice at all.

Dimensions:
  • Sahara Sand:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base) & 5" x 3-3/14" (base layer)
  • Soft Sky:  5-1/4" x 1" (greeting banner)
  • Whisper White:  2-1/4" x 1-3/4" (Mary & Joseph) & 5-1/4" x 4" (inside)
  • Vellum Cardstock:  2-3/4" x 2-3/4" (circle)
  • Silver Foil Sheets:  4" x 1/2"
  • Gold Glimmer Paper:  1-1/4" x 1-1/2"
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the cityscape stamp from the Night in Bethlehem Stamp Set across the middle of the Sahara Sand base layer piece using the Sahara Sand Classic Stampin' Pad. Fold the Sahara Sand card base piece in half (fold on top), and attach the stamped, base layer to the center of the card.
  2. Punch a circle out of the Vellum Cardstock piece using the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Attach it to the left side of the base layer, over the cityscape image.
  3. Punch the right end of the Soft Sky piece using the Banner Triple Punch. Stamp the "Blessed Christmas Wishes" stamp onto the right side of the banner using the Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad. Attach the Silver Foil piece across the back of the banner's bottom edge, making sure some of the foil shows from the front. Attach the banner across the bottom of the cityscape image, lining the left edge of the banner with the left edge of the base layer.
  4. Stamp the Mary/Joseph stamp onto the smaller Whisper White piece using the Night of Navy ink pad. Die-cut the image out with it's coordinating die from the Bethlehem Edgelits Dies. Attach the die-cut to the left side of the banner, and centered in the vellum circle, using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. Die-cut a star out of the Gold Glimmer Paper using the star die. Attach it to the upper right side of the base layer.
  6. Inside of the card:  Stamp the "Wishing You..." stamp onto the top, center of the Whisper White inside piece using the Night of Navy ink pad. Stamp the cityscape stamp across the bottom of the piece using the Sahara Sand ink pad. Attach it to the inside of the card.
