Animal Stories Card

This is a new set that came out with the current catalog called Animal Stories (p. 88). It was a set that demonstrators could order a month before everyone else, and I just had to get it. This is the first time I've been able to use it. If you look closely, you can see that the greeting, "hi" is embossed. It's one of the new embosslit dies that Stampin' Up! offers now. I've been dying to use it, so I just had to put it on this card. I hope you like it.

Top Note Purse

As I type this, we're in the process of moving into our new house! I'm scheduling the next few posts now because I won't have access to the Internet for a few days once we're there. So, when this post comes up, we'll be in our new house completely! Yay!

I've decided to post a project that's not a card or a scrapbook page today. This is a very cute purse made with the Top Note Die. I saw it on Becky Robert's blog. She has a great tutorial on how to make these purses. Just click on her name, and you can see it.

Princess & Pirate Party Kits Video

Stampin' Up! has put another video on my demonstrator website. It shows you what comes in the 2 birthday party kits that Stampin' Up! now offers. It also shows you how to make a couple of the projects in the kits. I wish they had these kits when my kids were younger. I would have bought them right away! Not only do you get invitations and party decorations, you also have cute projects for the kids to make at the party! I love that! Now you don't have to plan things for the kids to do during the party! Girls will love making their crowns and goody purses, and boys will love making their eye patches and goody treasure boxes.

To see the video, just click on the picture below. The kits and coordinating stamp sets are on pp. 174 & 175 in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. The princess and pirate personalized stamps talked about in the video are on pp. 74 & 75.

Summer Went Too Fast!

I can't believe the summer is pretty much over. All three of my kids went back to school today! I wish they went back when I did when I was in school. We always went a few days before Labor Day. I now have a senior and sophomore in high school and an 8th grader in middle school.

The scrapbook page below is back when my two youngest were still in elementary school. Steph was in 6th grade, and Alex was in 4th. A few days before the end of school every year in elementary school, they had a field day where they had a lot of fun games to play. They loved it!

Happy Birthday, Steph!

Today is our daughter Stephanie's, 16th birthday! I can't believe she's 16 already! The years go by so fast. It seems like yesterday I was holding her in my arms! I now have 18, 16, & 13 (almost 14) year olds! I can't be that old, can I? I'm only 29 (NOT!)!

As you might have guessed, Steph's favorite color is blue, so I had to use blue a lot! I used one of my favorite stamps sets, Inspired by Nature (#111656 - $23.95 - page 96). I put the ink on the stamp by dabbing it on with sponge daubers. I used the SU! Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die to make the big scallop square. I was originally going to make it a Scallop Square card, but I didn't like the card being just white, so I decided to layer it onto a bigger piece of Brocade Blue card stock. I hope Steph likes it!

Stamps: Inspired by Nature and Teeny Tiny Wishes

Paper: Brocade Blue, More Mustard, & Naturals White card stock

Ink: Brocade Blue, More Mustard, & Old Olive Classic ink pads

This Year's RMHC Stamp Set

As many of you know, Stampin' Up! comes out with a new stamp set that benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities. They've been doing it since the 2004-2005 catalog. $2 of each RHMC stamp set purchased will go to the local Ronald McDonald House where the order is shipped. So, those of you from Indiana that purchase this set will be donating to the Ronald McDonald House at Riley Hospital. Those of you out of Indiana that order from me will benefit the closest Ronald McDonald House to you.

The set this year is called, Very Thankful (#115338 - $14.95). There are 4 very different thank you stamps with this set. I've posted a picture of the set at the bottom of this post for you to see. I really like it.

The card below uses the elegant peacock stamp. I haven't used this color combo for quite awhile, and I really like it. I used 2 of the embossed backgrounds from the SU! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates on this card. They really coordinate well with the swirls on the stamp. I hope you like it.

Stamps: Very Thankful

Elegant Eggplant, Apricot Appeal, Old Olive, & Very Vanilla card stock

Elegant Eggplant, Apricot Appeal, & Old Olive Stampin' Write markers, Apricot Appeal & Elegant Eggplant Classic ink pads

A Cute Kid's Birthday Card

Here is the other card that was made at Brandy's workshop a little over a week ago. I got this level one hostess set with my first order from the new catalog, and this was the first time I used it. The set is called "Out of the Box." It is a set of 6 stamps, and only workshop hostesses can get it, or people who place at least a $150 order. Did you know that if you place a $150 order (before shipping and tax), you get hostess benefits? That's right! If you have any questions, just let me know. This is actually one of the hostess sets that Brandy ended up picking out. She actually qualified to pick 3 hostess sets (2 level ones and 1 level two)!

If you are interested in hosting a workshop, CONTACT ME. If you want to place at least a $150 order, you can ORDER ONLINE or contact me at the link above.

Stamps: Out of the Box (level one hostess set) & Happy Everything

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Pink Passion, Only Orange, & Whisper White card stock

Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, Pink Passion, & Only Orange Classic ink pads

Accessories: Playground Designer Buttons, Mini Glue Dots, 1-3/8" & 1-1/4" Circle Punches, & Stampin' Dimensionals (used under elephant circle to make it look like it was popping out of the box).
