Peony Garden Suite Friend Card

This was the suite that really stood out to me when I first saw the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The Peony Garden Suite is so GORGEOUS! I actually used all 6 of the products in the suite on this card. I didn't even try to do that. That shows how well they coordinate together!

If you want to learn how I made this card, you can learn how in my Stamp With Me video below.

Isn't that flower beautiful? It comes from the Prized Peony Bundle that is in the suite. The bundle includes the Prized Peony Stamp Set and the Peony Dies. Purchasing them together as a bundle, versus buying them individually, saves you 10%. The Peony Dies have some dies that make a 3D peony. I can't wait to make something with them!

Do you see that fancy vellum on the top, left corner of the card? I did that with the new Square Vellum Doilies that are also in this suite. I show how to cut it into a perfect triangle in the video below.

Notice that beautiful embossing on the Petal Pink layer? I did it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder from the suite.

I thought the doily edge needed something, so I wrapped the shiny Gray Granite 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon across the bottom of it. See how it matches the card base perfectly?

I also thought the top, left corner of the stitched rectangle layer needed something, so I added one of the large Petal Pink gems in the Elegant Faceted Gems. That little gem really makes the card look even more special. Yes, they're also in the Peony Garden Suite.

I really love the detail in this peony stamp. It makes it so easy to color with our Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Up! let us know where we need to use the dark blends with the detail in the stamp, and then color the rest with the light blends. I show you exactly how in the video below.

How about that scallop edge? It was made with one of the Peony Dies. The picture doesn't do it justice. The dry embossing along the scallop edge is wonderful! Make sure to watch the video to find out how easy it is to figure out where to place the border die.

I attached a piece of the beautiful Peony Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP) on the inside of the card. This is the edge that still shows when the card is closed. Would you like to see all of the designs in this DSP? CLICK HERE to see me show it off in my unboxing video. The link will take you directly to where I show the paper. If you want to see everything I got in the unboxing video, you can rewind it when you get there. 😊

  • Gray Granite Cardstock (CS):  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Petal Pink CS:  3" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Whisper White CS:  2-1/2" x 4" (stitched rectangle), 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" (flower), & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside of card)
  • Peony Garden DSP:  1" x 5-1/4"

Short & Sweet Birds & Branches Card

Happy Monday everyone! I have a short and sweet (quick & easy) card for you today, and you can find the written tutorial on how to make it below. Sometimes, we need a quick and easy card to make, and I hope this one helps you out!

Today's card features the Birds & Branches Bundle. This beautiful bundle is one of the bundles you can choose to be added to a starter kit  for FREE when you join my team in June! Click on the "Pick a Bundle" picture at the bottom of this post to find out more!

See that beautiful dry embossed border on the left-side of the card? It's super easy to do with the new Greenery Embossing Folders. There are two embossing folders included, and they're mini embossing folders! There are a few mini embossing folders sets in the catalog!

I love the tile paper I used on the square layer. It comes from the wonderful In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (DSP). There are so many great tile, stone, and wood grain/planks designs in this DSP! You're going to love it!

After I stamped and die-cut the bird and nest, I sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the die-cuts. I sponged the all of the nest a bit, too. I didn't want the Whisper White cardstock to look too bright. The greeting is from the Lovely You Stamp Set. There are some pretty floral images in this greeting stamp set as well.

There are little "berry" like circles in the branch die from the die-set included in the Birds & Branches Bundle. The die-set is called Birds & More Dies. I didn't want them to just be the Old Olive color, so I put some of the large rhinestones from the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels on top of them. I love the look and bling they give the card.

I made this card in a Live video in my Create With Christy's VIP Stampers Facebook Group. Are you a USA customer? Are you a member of my team? If the answer is yes to either one of these questions, you can join the group! This group is exclusively for USA customers and my downline. You can join by CLICKING HERE. Once you answer the questions, and the answers fit the criteria of being in the group as listed above, you'll be accepted into the group.

For those of you that live outside of the USA and demonstrators not on my team, you'll still have access to my Create With Christy business page. I'll keep doing my weekly lives and sharing projects as before there. I just wanted to have a special group for my customers and downline, too.

New Stampin' Up! In Colors Showcase

Are you looking for some color combos for the new 2020-2022 In Colors? I've come up with three of them for you. My Facebook Live yesterday showcased all five of the new In Colors from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The three cards I made also feature a lot of new annual catalog products.

The first card I made in the video below features the Hippo Happiness Bundle. Isn't that hippo so cute?  All of the stamped images are from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set from the bundle, and all of the die-cuts were made using the dies that come from the Hippo & Friends Dies from the bundle.

The new In Colors I used were Magenta Madness and Just Jade. I paired them up with Basic Gray and Gray Granite.

Some of the products I used on this card are selling quickly, and we were just told they could go on backorder or not orderable before a new shipment comes in. The products I used that are selling faster than predicted are the 2020-2022 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Dainy Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. If you want them, I suggest getting them quickly.

I found out after making this card that one item I used, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots, is on the "not orderable" list right now, but they expect to get a shipment in by the end of the month (June). Once they get the shipment, and fill the backorders, it'll be available again.

When I was making the card, I thought the hippo needed something, so I added a bow to its head to make it a girl hippo. If you need a boy hippo, change the Magenta Madness color to Misty Moonlight, and but the bow below the hippo's chin for a bow tie.

Dimensions:
  • Just Jade Cardstock (CS):  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Gray Granite CS:  5-1/4" x 4" (embossed layer)
  • Whisper White CS:  3-3/4" x 2-1/4" (label die) & 3" x 2-1/2" (hippo, balloons, bow, & butterfly)
  • Basic Gray CS:  scraps (balloon strings)
  • 2020-2022 In Color DSP:  2" x 4"

The second card I made in the video features the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I fell in love with this product medley as soon as I saw it in the catalog. It includes the Boho Indigo Stamp Set, die-set, 6" x 6", double-sided DSP pack (48 sheets), 6" x 6" Very Vanilla dry embossed pieces (6 sheets), 6" x 6" sheets of die-cuts with gold foil accents (6 sheets), Night of Navy 1/2" Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon (10 yds), Very Vanilla/Gold 1/4" Pleated Ribbon (10 yds), & paper flowers (40). I show everything in the kit in the video below.

The new In Colors I used on this card are Misty Moonlight and Bumblebee. I paired them with Garden Green & Crumb Cake.

I'm so in love with this medley of products that I plan to do a product-based class with it very soon. Please keep your eyes out for it. 😊

I absolutely love the vases in the stamp set. I especially love the vase on the left, and I think it looks gorgeous in the Misty Moonlight color. The flower on the center of the middle vase is one of the paper flowers in the product medley. They come in 2 sizes, and this is the large one. I love the beads that are attached to the middle of the flowers.

I added a stamped layer to the inside of the card. It's so easy to line up those leaves with the vase!

Dimensions:
  • Misty Moonlight CS:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Very Vanilla CS:  (2) 4" x 5-1/4" (base layer and inside of card), 4-1/2" x 2-1/2" (vases), & 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" (flowers)
  • Boho Indigo DSP:  4" x 1-1/2"
  • Boho Indigo Paper Flowers:  1 large
  • Boho Indigo Ribbon Combo:  6" & 5" (Very Vanilla/Gold ribbon)

The last card I made features the Nothing's Better Than Bundle. This is such a fun bundle! If you or anyone you know loves chocolate, coffee, cookies, and/or cocktails, then this set is a must-have! The greeting stamps are wonderful, too!

There's only one more new In Color, and that's Cinnamon Cider. I paired it with Petal Pink & Early Espresso. I love browns and pinks together!

Don't you just love the greetings I used? There are many more in the set, and I can't wait to make more projects so I can use them! If you go to the end of the post, you'll find the link to the bundle in the supply list for this card. You'll be able to see all of the greetings by clicking on it.

I wanted the chocolates to sparkle, so I painted them with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. I got it to show some in the picture above, but it looks even better in person.

I show how to use the new Stampin' Up! Adhesive sheets in the video below, too. I used them with the "Chocolate" die-cut.

Here's the inside of the card. I love that there are stamps that match the word dies in the Love You More Than Dies that are in the bundle. As you can see, the fonts are a little different, but they still go together nicely!

Dimensions:
  • Early Espresso CS:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (scallop circle)
  • Petal Pink CS:  2-3/4" x 3/4" (greeting)
  • Cinnamon Cider CS:  2-3/4" x 1" (chocolate die-cut)
  • Adhesive Sheets:  2-3/4" x 1" (for chocolate die-cut)
  • Very Vanilla CS:  (2) 4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer & inside of card)
  • Whisper White CS:  2-3/4" x 2-3/4" (circle) & 2" x 1" (chocolate candies)
  • In Good Taste DSP:  2" x 5-1/4" (banner)
