Graceful Glass Suite by Stampin' Up!

I had hoped to have a project for you today, but I had to spend over half the day looking at computers. My computer has been slowing down, but now the keyboard is doing weird things. I can't use the shift key with the number row or the letter "m". 😠 The caps lock works with the "m" key, so I can do capital "m"s that way, but the caps lock doesn't work with the number row...just the letters. So, I can't do a lot of symbols, including explanation points. It's a little hard to type "Stampin' Up"...it needs that explanation point. 😜 My new computer will get here this weekend, so hopefully I'll have it up and running by Monday. My video software should work better on the new computer, too, so I should be able to start making videos now. Can't wait.

In the meantime, here's a great video from Stampin' Up. It showcases the wonderful Graceful Glass Suite. This suite is gorgeous. If you love stained glass, then you're going to love this suite.

Mother's Day Card - Abstract Impressions

I can't believe that I haven't posted the Mother's Day card I made my mom last month. I used one of my favorite bundles in the catalog...Abstract Impressions Bundle. It includes the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies. I also used the new Stitched Labels Framelits Dies for the greeting label. The beautiful printed paper is from the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack.

It's very hard to see in the pictures, but I covered the large, corner floral die-cut with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. The subtle shimmer is SO pretty. Don't miss that pretty bow on the top right corner. I made it with the new Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. LOVE this ribbon.

Dimensions:
  • Petal Pink:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" [card base]
  • Grapefruit Grove:  4" x 5-1/4" base layer
  • Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper [DSP]:  3-7/8" X 5-1/8"
  • Whisper White:  4-1/4" a 5-1/2" [corner floral die-cut], 3" x 3-3/4" [label], and 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" [leaves and flowers]
  • Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon:  10"

Instructions:
  1. Die-cut the large floral die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies out of the largest Whisper White piece. Brush the whole die-cut with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Fold the Petal Pink piece in half [fold on the left] to form the card base. Attach the DSP piece to the middle of the Grapefruit Grove piece, and then attach the floral die-cut to the corner of DSP layer using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Attach the whole thing to the center of the card front.
  2. Die-cut the largest label die from the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies out of the Whisper White label piece. Stamp the "Happy Mother's Day" stamp from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set onto the top, right corner of the label using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Attach the label to the card [see picture for placement].
  3. Stamp the smallest rose-like stamp from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set three times onto the Whisper White leaves and flowers piece using the Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad. Ink the medium-sized rose-like stamp with the Calypso Coral ink pad, stamp onto a scrap piece of paper, and then stamp it on top of one of the small rose-like images. Do the same with the other two. Stamp the largest rose-like stamp on top of each stamped rose using the Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the double-leaf outline stamp five times on the same piece using the Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the double-leaf-like bold stamp inside each outline using the Soft Sea Foam Classic Stampin' Pad. It won't fit perfectly, but it looks great. Fussy-cut all of the flowers and leaves out using Paper Snips.
  4. Putting SNAIL Adhesive onto the back, center of two of the roses. Attach one to the left, center edge of the label, and the other one to the bottom, center edge of the label. Attach the third rose to the bottom, left corner of the label using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the leaves around the flowers, tucking the ends under the roses a bit [see picture for placement].
  5. Tie the tulle ribbon into a bow. Attach it to the upper, right corner of the label using a couple Mini Glue Dots. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle.

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.

Graduation Card - Hand Delivered

Yep, it's definitely graduation season! Here's another graduation card I made for one of our great-nieces who graduated from high school. I once again used used the super-cute, host-exclusive stamp set, Hand Delivered. I CASEd this one from Linda Callahan. I like making graduation cards with this stamp set, but I can't wait to use this stamp set for a birthday card. I want to use those balloons! LoL

As stated, this stamp set is a host-exclusive stamp set. It can only be obtained with a workshop order ($150 or more - before shipping & tax), and chosen as part of your Stampin' Rewards you earn. If you like this set, and live in the United States, there are three different ways you can get it (four if you're local to me). They are:
  1. Host a Facebook Virtual Workshop - I set up the Facebook group, you invite your friends and family, and I take care of the rest. Everyone can attend from the comfort of their own homes…even in their pajamas! There will be demonstration videos, project ideas, and so much more.
  2. Host a Catalog/Online Order Workshop - Collect orders and/or ask your friends and family to place their orders online using your exclusive host code.
  3. Place Your Own Workshop Order - Spoil yourself with your own personal party! Place a personal order of $150 (before shipping & tax) or more to earn Stampin’ Rewards. Go ahead, you deserve it!
  4. Host a Traditional In-Home Workshop (local customers only) -  Host your friends and family to a party in either my Stampin’ Up! classroom, your home, or another location of your choice.

If you don't have your own Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I'd love to help you earn this wonderful stamp set. Contact me at christyfulk@createwithchristy.com, if interested.

Dimensions:

  • Thick Whisper White:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Bermuda Bay:  2-3/4" x 4" (main image mat)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer), 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" (main image base layer),  3" x 2-1/2" (main images) & 2-3/4" x 1/2" (greeting)
  • Share What You Love Designer Series Paper:  3" x 4-1/4"
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels:  2 large

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the Whisper White embossed layer by running it through the Big Shot with the Tufted Dynanmic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Fold the Thick Whisper White piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed layer to the center of the card front. Tip:  Score the card base piece at 5-1/2" (with the 8-1/2" sides on the top and bottom). This helps the thick cardstock fold better. Attach the DSP piece to the center of the card, at an angle (see picture).
  2. Stamp the skirt/legs stamp from the Hand Delivered Stamp Set onto the Whisper White main images piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the books stamp next to it using the same ink pad. Stamp the striped skirt stamp inside the stamped skirt outline using the Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin' Pad. Color the images in with the following Stampin' Blends:  Rich Razzleberry Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Old Olive Combo (books), Ivory (legs and hands), Bermuda Bay Combo (shoes & books), Light Cherry Cobbler (books & apple). Fussy cut the two images out with Paper Snips.
  3. Attach the Whisper White main image base layer piece to the center of the Bermuda Bay piece. Attach the skirt/legs to the bottom, center of the piece. Attach the books to the top of the skirt, using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach it all to the center of the card, over the DSP, using Stampin' Dimensionals (see picture).
  4. Stamp the "To the Graduate" stamp to the center of the Whisper White greeting piece using the Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad. Cut a small triangle out of each end to form the banner. Attach it across the skirt using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. With the rhinestones still attached to the package backing, color two of the large rhinestones with the Dark Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blend Markers. When dry (dries in a few seconds), attach them to the bottom, right of the main image base layer (see picture).

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.

Father's Day Gift Card Holder

Here's the card I made my dad for Father's Day yesterday. I had one last card base from my Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit, and decided to use it to make my dad's Father's Day Card. His golf bag fell apart on him, so he asked for a gift card to a local sporting goods store. So, I decided to turn this card base into a gift card holder.

I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Waterfront. I really like the nature scenes you can make with this stamp set! It makes whatever you make a watercolor masterpiece. The "Happy Father's Day" was stamped with the stamp set that came in the Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Dimensions:
  • Manly Moments Card Base:  Tri-Fold base
  • Mossy Meadow:  3" x 4-1/4" (largest mat)
  • Crumb Cake:  2-5/8" x 3-7/8" (narrow mat) & 3-1/2" x 3/4" (banner)
  • Very Vanilla:  2-1/2" x 3-3/4" (main image)
  • Copper Trim:  (2) 4"

Instructions:
  1. Put Tear & Tape Adhesive onto the back of the plaid section, along the two short edges. With the white side facing up, fold the plaid section up along the score line. Remove the paper-backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive, and attach the plaid section to the card base. This will form the pouch for the gift card. If you want to write something inside, you can write it on the top half of the card base. Fold the wood section down to close the card.
  2. Stamp the long, "z"-like stamp from the Waterfront Stamp Set across the bottom of the Very Vanilla piece using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Without re-inking, stamp it a couple more times to fill in the area to make the ground. Stamp the tree trio stamp two times across the ground using the Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad.
  3. Stamp the long, narrow stamp above the ground using the Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it above the first, without re-inking. Repeat this step two more times to finish the lake. Stamp the mountain stamp onto the center of the piece, and above the lake, using the Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it again on each side of the first mountain image without re-inking. Stamp the "Happy" Stamp from the stamp set in the Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit onto the top of the piece using the Mossy Meadow ink pad. Attach the piece to the center of the Crumb Cake narrow mat piece. Wrap one of the Copper Trim pieces around the bottom of the image, attaching the trim ends to the back of the Crumb Cake piece using scotch tape.
  4. Attach it to the center of the Mossy Meadow piece. Attach the top three-fourths of the piece to the wood-like panel of the card base. Tie the other Copper Trim piece onto the left side of the attached trim piece using a single knot. Trim the Copper Trim ends at an angle.
  5. Stamp the "Father's Day" stamp from the Manly Moments kit onto the center of the smallest Crumb Cake piece using the Mossy Meadow ink pad. Using Paper Snips, cut a triangle out of each end of the piece to form the banner. Score a vertical line next to each point of the cut-out triangles. Score another vertical line about a 1/8" in from both of the first score lines. Fold the two inner score lines down, and then fold the two outer ones up. Put Stampin' Dimensionals onto the back of the banner (the center section), and attach it across the image layer, just below "Happy".

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.

Happy Father's Day - Rooted In Nature

Happy Father's Day! I hope you fathers out there had a wonderful day today. I know my hubby and dad both had a great day. We ate at a local BBQ restaurant, and went to my parents' house to give the two dads their presents and spent the day together. It was nice.

Before ending the day, I wanted to share the card I made my hubby, Ken. I'll share the one I made my dad tomorrow. I used the new Rooted In Nature Bundle to make Ken's card. I really love this bundle, and the trees in this set are wonderful! I love having dies to die-cut the trees, leaves, and more from the stamp set, too.

Dimensions:

  • Crumb Cake:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base) & 3" x 2" (happy die-cut)
  • Soft Suede:  2-3/4" x 4" (image mat)
  • Very Vanilla:  2-1/2" x 4" (image), 2" x 3" (tree die-cut) & 3" x 3/4" (greeting tag)
  • Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack:  5-1/4" x 4"
  • Burlap Ribbon:  6"

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Crumb Cake card base piece in half (fold on top) to form the card base. Tie a single-knot into the center of the Burlap Ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the left side of the DSP piece, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the piece using SNAIL Adhesive. Reinforce it with scotch tape. Attach the piece to the middle of the card front.
  2. Ink the narrow, tall tree stamp from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set with the Mossy Meadow marker (leaves) and the Soft Suede marker (trunk) from the Neutrals Stampin' Write Markers. Stamp the tree onto the left side of the largest Very Vanilla piece, and then stamp it again in another place without re-inking. Do the same again, stamping the first time onto the right side of the piece, and stamping again somewhere else. Using a Sponge Dauber and a Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad, sponge the top three-fourths of the piece to make the sky. Using another sponge dauber and an Old Olive Classic Stampin Pad, sponge the bottom fourth to make the ground. Attach the piece to the center of the Soft Suede piece. Then, attach it onto the card, next to the burlap ribbon.
  3. Ink the narrow, tall tree stamp again using the same markers as before, and stamp it onto the Very Vanilla tree die-cut piece. Die-cut the tree out with its coordinating die from the Nature's Roots Framelits Dies. Attach the tree to the bottom, center of the attached tree image piece using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (see picture).
  4. Die-cut the "Happy" part of the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die out of the smallest Crumb Cake piece. Trim any part of the "Birthday" part that is die-cut off with Paper Snips. Attach the die-cut onto the right side of the card using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (see picture). Stamp the "Father's Day" stamp from the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set onto the smallest Very Vanilla piece using the Mossy Meadow marker. Punch the greeting out with Classic Label Punch. Attach a gold pearl from the Metallic Pearls onto each end of the label. Attach it under the "Happy" die-cut using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
