Day 11 Glitter Glue Floral Card - 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series

Today’s Day 11 project in my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series is all about elegant blues with a little sparkle. This card is a great reminder that you don’t need a lot of embellishments to make something special — just a few thoughtful details can really bring a design to life.

In today’s video, I walk you through how I created this layered floral card from start to finish. I show how to use the Stamp Off Technique to get multiple shades of ink from a single color and how to add glitter glue in a clean, controlled way so it enhances the design without overpowering it.

The front of this card features three flowers in different shades of blue. The two smaller flowers were stamped using the Stamp Off Technique with Misty Moonlight ink, giving them soft variation and dimension. The largest flower was stamped with Secret Sea ink, which adds a deeper, richer blue that anchors the entire design. All three flowers have glittery centers created with gold glitter glue, which adds just the right amount of sparkle.

Layered behind the flowers is a Designer Series Paper (DSP) banner that adds interest and helps guide your eye across the card. The mix of soft blues in the DSP works perfectly with the stamped images and keeps the overall look coordinated and polished.

The featured product for Day 11 in the Advent Calendar is a bottle of gold glitter glue. I used it to create the flower centers on the front of the card, and it’s one of those products that adds instant wow with very little effort. You can see the sparkle up close in the video, and it really brings the flowers to life. Make sure to watch the video above to get tips and learn how to use it.

Inside the card, I added a narrow banner made with the same DSP as the front of the card to tie everything together. This is a simple step, but it makes the card feel finished while still leaving plenty of space to write your message.
