Another Itty Bitty Buds Card

I really like this hostess set, so I had to make another one. This one I CASEd from another lady on Splitcoastampers (SCS). I don't know her real name, but her SCS name is Tamamamma. I changed it a little bit, but very little. I used a different greeting, and I used cardstock I embossed with a Texturz Plate instead of designer paper. Other than that, it's the same card. Thanks, Tamamamma, for the wonderful card. I love it!

Supplies: Itty Bitty Buds & Wonderful Favorites Sets; Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, & Whisper White cardstock; Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, & Riding Hood Red Classic Ink Pads; Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Texturz Impressions Pad, Texturz Silicone Rubber, & Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates.

As promised, this is the card that will be made at my New Catalog Debut Open House tomorrow (Jan. 30), 5 -9 p.m. I used a Level 2 hostess set called "Itty Bitty Buds."

New Catalog Debut Project

Well, I'm home today because of the snow, so I'm getting things ready for my New Catalog Debut Open House this Friday. It's really nice having a full day to work on it! This 12" x 12" page is one of the projects being made at my open house. I used the new stamp set, Petal Pizzazz (p. 90 of the new catty). It's a set of 7 stamps for $32.95. As you can see, the flowers are a little larger than most, so it's great for scrapbook pages. Of course, it's good for cards, too.

See how the left leaf of the red flower is behind it? I cut a little slot around a couple petals of the red flower with my hobby blade, and inserted the end of the leaf inside. I didn't want to have to cut out the whole flower, so doing it this way was a lot quicker, and the leaf looks a lot better with an end underneath the flower.

There will be a card made at my open house as well. I plan on posting a picture of it tomorrow. For more information about my New Catalog Debut, CLICK HERE.

Supplies: Petal Pizzazz & Big Deal Alphabet Sets; So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, & Naturals White cardstock; Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, & Old Olive Classic Ink Pads; 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Hobby Blade & Cutting Mat

New Set - Thoughts & Prayers

This is another set that I just purchased from the new catty. I just love this tree, and I love all of the sayings, too. There's a pretty branch of flowers with this set, too. It's called "Thoughts & Prayers", and it's on p. 58 of the new catalog. It has 8 stamps, and is $25.95. I know I'll be using this set a lot!

I also got to use my new Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons and Eyelet Border Punch. If you like the Scallop Edge Punch, you're going to LOVE the Eyelet Border Punch. I've used it a few times already, and I just got it!

Supplies: Thoughts & Prayers Set (New); Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, & Naturals White cardstock; Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, & Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pads; Eyelet Border Punch (New); Chocolate Chip Corduroy Buttons (New); & Linen Thread

New Set - Cheep Talk

This is one of my new sets from the new catalog. It's "Cheep Talk" on p. 90, and is a set of 11 stamps for $26.95. I really think this set is cute...especially the 2 birds in it. I was at a Stampin' and Scrappin' Retreat that my church holds every year, and was able to play with some of my new toys! I was able to make some scrapbook pages and a couple cards during the 48 hour retreat. This is one of the cards I made.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the Kiwi Kiss (green) piece is embossed with the new Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates on p. 203 of the new catalog. I also got to use some new designer paper called "Good Morning Sunshine", and it's on page 160.

Supplies: Cheep Talk Set (New); Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, & Whisper White cardstock; Good Morning Sunshine Designer Series Paper; Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, & Chocolate Chip Classic ink pads; Summer Sun Stampin' Write Marker; Pacific Point Corduroy Buttons, Blender Pen, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Texturz Impressions Pad, Texturz Silicone Rubber, Stampin' Up! Just Buzzin' By...

Isn't this new set so cute? It's called Just Buzzin' By (p. 57 of new catty). It's a set of 8 stamps for $27.95. By the way, it's die-cut. Actually, ALL of the stamps are die-cut now (except for the big background stamps and the two tiny alphabet sets)!

I didn't have a lot of time to make a card for today's post, so this one is a simple card. I think it still turned out pretty cute, though. I hope you like it.

Supplies: Just Buzzin' By Set; More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, & Confetti Cream cardstock; More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Going Gray, & Basic Brown Classic Ink Pads; More Mustard 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Aqua Painter, & Paper Snips

This is the first card I've made with this upcoming Sale-A-Bration set, Botanical Blooms. This year, Sale-A-Bration has 4 stamps sets, a pack of designer paper, and a ribbon bundle to choose as a free item for every $50 order you place from February 1st to March 31st.

So, if you like this set, you'll need to place a $50 order in February or March to get it free! If you place your order online, it will be shipped directly to you. You don't have to worry about having to pick it up from me if you don't live close. Just go to my SU! website, and click "Shop Now." After Sale-A-Bration, this set will be gone forever! You can also earn this stamp set if you host a qualifying workshop during February or March.

Supplies: Botanical Blooms Set (SAB); Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, & Naturals Ivory cardstock; Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, & Chocolate Chip Classis Ink Pads; Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Crop-A-Dile, & Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets.

FYI - Online Ordering

Have you ever wondered why I always tell you to go to my website and then click "Shop Now" to place an online order? Are you wondering why you can't just go to the online ordering section directly? Well, wonder now longer!

You absolutely don't want to go directly to the online ordering page first, so you won't want to bookmark that page at all. If you do, it won't recognize that you're wanting to order through me, and you will be charged more for the products and for shipping than usual. Also, if you place an order of $150 or more (before shipping & tax), you also won't get "Stampin' Rewards" (free stuff). Stampin' Rewards are the online version of hostess benefits.

You'll want to bookmark my website, and always get to the online ordering from there by clicking "Shop Now". This way you get the regular pricing, pay regular for shipping, and qualify for Stampin' Rewards with orders of $150 in merchandise or more.

So having a demonstrator really is a good thing! Not only am I here to help and teach you new techniques and projects, you can save money ordering online through me, too!

I wanted to use the Love You Much Bundle for one of the layouts for my Scrap In A Flash! camp tomorrow. As you can see, this bundle is great for all kinds of projects. It's hard to tell, but I stamped the pair of birds across the Riding Hood Red strips on the bottom of the pictures.

Supplies: Love You Much (bundle) & Happy Everything sets; Pretty In Pink, Riding Hood Red, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla cardstock; Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (bundle); Basic Brown, Riding Hood Red, Pretty In Pink, & Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pads; Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Heart to Heart Punch (bundle), Blender Pens, & Paper Snips

Starting tomorrow, I'll be using some of my other new sets. I received my new catalogs yesterday, and what can I say. It's wonderful! There are so MANY things that I just have to have! I can't wait to be able to sit down tonight, and start figuring out what my first order will be on Monday!

Candy Bar Holder

Here are all of the projects that I'm offering free to those that order the Love You Much Bundle, which is 20% off this month, from me. When you order the bundle through me by Monday, January 26, you are invited to my house on Friday, February 6 @ 6:30 p.m. to make these cute free projects. When you come, you'll need to bring your bundle with you. If you buy the bundle but can't make it to my house, I'll send the instructions with pictures of each project to you. I'll also include all of the cut cardstock and ribbon that are not included in the bundle. I'll even die-cut the cardstock for the 2 projects that need the Big Shot Machine. If you order the bundle online, I'll mail the project stuff to you. Below, you'll find close-ups of the Candy Bar Holder. To see close-ups of the other 3 projects and pictures of the bundle, click below:

This pouch is called a Pull Treat Holder. Inside is a yummy Hershey Candy Bar! This is the first time I've made one of these, and it's really fast and simple!
Before putting the candy bar inside, I threaded the Chocolate Chip Taffeta ribbon through the slots I punched through the top of the holder. Then, I put the candy bar in. The threaded ribbon was under the candy bar, and went down the pouch with it. After the candy bar was in all of the way, I tied the ribbon ends that were still showing into a bow. Below, is the candy bar pulled out part way. All I needed to do was untie the ribbon, and pull the ribbon up. The ribbon brought the candy bar out.

Supplies: Love You Much Set (bundle); Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, & Very Vanilla cardstock; Candy Lane Designer Series Paper (bundle); Basic Brown, Riding Hood Red, & Pink Pirouette Classic Ink Pads; Heart to Heart Punch (bundle); Chocolate Chip & Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon; Small & Large Oval Punches; Scallop Edge Punch, Horizontal Slot Punch, Sticky Strip, Paper Cutter w/scoring blade, & Paper Snips

Hugs & Kisses Basket

Here's another project that can be made free by anyone who orders the Love You Much Bundle from me. I made the basket with 4 scallop envelopes made with my Stampin' Up! exclusive Scallop Envelopes Bigz die. I also made the filling in the basket. I crimped a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock and cut it into very thin strips with my Tabletop Paper Cutter. This cutter is great at making super thin strips.

I'm really having a lot of fun with this bundle! Two of the other projects are my "Love Card" and my "Top Note Card". To find out more about the bundle and my special with it, click "Top Note Card" above. I'm hoping to get the last of the 4 projects posted tomorrow.

Fresh Cuts Card

I CASED (which means Copy And Share Everything) this card from Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Liz Shultz from Alberta Canada. The only change I made was using Sahara Sand instead of Mellow Moss. Stampin' Up! demonstrators get a monthly magazine from Stampin' Up! called "Stampin' Success", and Liz's card won one of the monthly contests Stampin' Up! has for demonstrators. Winners select any 3 current Stampin' Up! stamp sets (except hostess sets), and get a picture of themselves and winning project pictured in Stampin' Success. I need to start submitting some projects. I don't know if I'd win one, but I sure would love 3 free stamp sets!

Supplies: Fresh Cuts Set, Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, & Sahara Sand cardstock; Fresh-Cut Notes, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Perfect Plum, & Elegant Eggplant Classic Pads; Rich Regals Brads, 5-Petal Flower Punch, & Stamping Sponges.

I love the Stampin' Success magazine we get every month. It has so many project ideas and business helps. I look forward getting it every month. It's another great perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!

Stamp Club Project

This page is a project that ladies in my stamp club can choose to make this month. I think this is my favorite layout that I'm showing this week. I just made it last night. Yes, I played with my dies that I got for my birthday again. I just can't help myself! This is NOT a layout for my camp next week...just for my club members for their free project night. This month, they have a choice of making both of these scrapbook pages, 2 cards, or one of these pages and a card. I'll show the cards sometime, too. Just in case you're were wondering, I will post some cards the next two days for my card-making ladies!

Supplies: One of a Kind Set; Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, & Naturals White cardstock; Bella Rose Designer Paper; Kiwi Kiss Classic Ink Pad; Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Go Go Boots Sizzlits Alphabet Dies, Flower Layers w/Leaf Bigz Die, Buttons #5 Sizzlits Die, Build-A-Brad-Antique Brass, 1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Jumbo Antique Brads, Crop-A-Dile

Next month is the last month of my current stamp club. I'm in the process of starting a new one in March. I'm changing my club a bit, and I still have some finishing touches to make. I'm planning on this club being a technique club. Every month, club members will learn a new stamping technique. I think we'll make a 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" scrapbook page that will go in an album that you'll decorate that uses the technique, and the directions will be typed on the back of it. Then, everyone will make a card using the same technique. That way, everyone will be happy. My scrappers will have a scrapbook and my card ladies will have a card. Everyone will be making both a page and a card.

I may change things a little bit, but I'm 99% sure this is what I'll be doing. I'm hoping to get 10 ladies in a group, which will mean members only need to place a minimum order of $15 a month for 10 months. Each lady will be a hostess for one of the months, and receive all of the hostess benefits. The project night will be optional, so if a member can't make it, all she'll need to do is place her order by the due date. I'll still give her the stamping technique directions. If I get a smaller group, the minimum will go up a little bit, and there will be fewer months in the club. If I get more than 10, I will start another club. All clubs will do the same projects. I'll have more information later, but if you are interested, please contact me.

Second Scrap-In-A-Flash Layout

This is the second 2-page layout being made at my upcoming Scrap In A Flash! camp on Friday, January 16 @ 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 17 @ 10:00 a.m. Both times are the same camp. To see one of the other layouts and find out more about this camp, CLICK HERE.

The picture on the left is the first page of the layout. You can click on the picture to see a larger image. I finally got to use my Little Felt Flurries snowflakes from the Holiday Mini. I've wanted to used them for quite awhile now, but kept forgetting. I really like them, and I think they look great on this layout. I used Mini Glue Dots to attach them to the page. I also got to use another new alphabet die set, Go Go Boots!

The picture on the right is the second page of the layout. To give the pages more of a winter feel, I sponged Whisper White Craft ink on the edges of all of the layers (except for the Naturals White journaling piece). It makes you cold just looking at it! These pictures were taken a few years ago. All of our kids are teenagers right now!

Supplies for pages

Scrap In A Flash! Camp Date Change

Well, the holidays are over. I can't believe it's 2009 already! Now that the holiday season is over, I can go back to posting every weekday again (except on rare occasions when something comes up to prevent me from doing so). There are some wonderful things coming up with Stampin' Up! The new catalog comes out January 19, and Sale-A-Bration begins February 1st and runs until March 31st. There will be more info. on these things later.

Now my first project for the new year...a 12" x 12" layout.

Supplies: Inspired by Nature Set; Cameo Coral, Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke, & Baja Breeze Classic Pads; Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Cameo Coral, & Naturals White cardstock; Sponge Daubers, Stamping Sponges, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Naturally Serif Sizzlits Decorative Strip Die, Extended Spacer Platform (comes with the starter kit and by itself), & Decorative Strip Cutting Pads (also in the starter kit and by itself).

This scrapbook layout is one of three 2-page layouts that will be made at my next Scrap In A Flash! camp. There will be 2 sessions you can choose from. They are on Friday, January 16--6:30 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 17--10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The fee to make all three, 2-page layouts is only $18. If you would like to come, please let me know which day by Wednesday, January 14. I'll have another 2-page layout for this camp posted tomorrow. The picture on the right is the first page of this layout. To see a larger image of the page, click on the picture.

The page on the left is the second page of this layout. I love my new stamp set, Inspired by Nature! I've been wanting it ever since it came out, and was finally able to get it a few weeks ago. I've been chomping at the bit to use it, and I got my wish on Saturday. I really love how these pages turned out.

I learned at my last Stampin' Up! training day to use ink pads and sponge daubers to color large stamps. That's how I inked up the big flowers on these pages. It was so much faster doing it this way than using markers, and I love the texture you get when using the sponge daubers. Just dab the ink on and stamp! It's hard to tell in the pictures, but I sponged some Baja Breeze (blue) ink around the flowers to put some sky around them.

I also got to use my first alphabet die-cuts! I used the Naturally Serif Sizzlits Decorative Strip die. Have I told you how much I love my Big Shot Die-Cut Machine! I just purchased some more dies for it with birthday money my parents gave me, and I'm having a lot of fun with them! I love new toys, don't you?
