July Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - On My Mind

Yes, I'm still here! LoL I'm so sorry that I've been MIA for the last few weeks. The pictures below will explain why:

Our second daughter, Stephanie, was married a little over a week ago. She's our first to get married. We made all of the bouquets and the decorations for it. It was a lot of fun making them with my daughters, but it took a lot of time. I wouldn't trade that time with my daughters in for the world, though! It was a beautiful wedding! We're so happy for them, and we love our new son-in-law, Derek!

Need to share one last picture. Our other two children were in the wedding party. Our oldest, Whitney, was the maid of honor. She's the blond in the back row, standing next to the bride. Our youngest, Alex, was one of the groomsmen. He's the guy in the front row, standing on the left. Pretty proud of these three!

Steph & Derek wanted a small wedding (attendance that is 😉), and then have a larger reception in November. I'm hoping to get all caught up with my business, and then work ahead before needing to get ready for the reception. At least the decorations are already made! I'm so glad I'm a Stampin' Up! demo...I can take off whenever I need to, and still have my business there when I can get back to it. Hopefully, I won't get behind again. 😊

Now, for my Paper Pumpkin projects. I haven't been able to work on my Paper Pumpkin kits for awhile. This month's kit came the day before a 4-day crafting retreat I attended last week. I took it with me, and whipped these beauties together. The top picture above shows the three original cards from the kit. The kit gives enough supplies to make three of each card. I only made one of each card, and then changed up the others. Each card design coordinates with a suite from the Annual Catalog.

The above set of cards feature the Garden Lane Suite. I don't have the Garden Lane Suite products (Verdant Garden Stamp Set and Garden Lane DSP), so I decided to us the Daisy Lane Bundle with it. I think it coordinates with these cards quite nicely. I used the Kraft embossed card bases from the kit on all three cards. The left card is the design from the kit.

On the middle card, I used the Daisy Lane Bundle which includes the Daisy Lane Stamp Set & Medium Daisy Punch. I also used the Daisy Punch (the larger daisy). The side flowers are made with two medium daisies, and the middle flower is made with two larger daisies and two medium daisies. The petals are staggered in-between each other when the daisies are attached together. The medium daisies were attached to the larger daisies of the center flower using a Stampin' Dimensional. The greeting comes from the On My Mind Stamp Set in th kit. I used the Banner Triple Punch to make the banner. I also used the beautiful Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon. The ink pads I used are the Blackberry Bliss & Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pads. Don't you just love those flower centers? They're the Perennial Essence Floral Centers. The banner is put on with Stampin' Dimensionals.

On the last card, I used the Daisy Lane Bundle once again, along with the larger Daisy Punch. It was made the same way as the center flower above. The greeting also comes from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set. I also used the same ink pads as above. Everything else I used is from the kit.

Left Card Dimensions:
  • Kraft embossed card base from kit
  • DSP piece from kit
  • Whisper White Cardstock (CS):  4-3/4" x 1" (banner) & 8-1/2" x 4-3/4" (daisies)
  • Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon:  6" (then cut ends at an angle)
  • Perennial Essence Floral Centers:  3
Right Card Dimensions:
  • Kraft embossed card base from kit
  • DSP piece from kit
  • Die-cuts from kit:  1 of each
  • Largest label from the kit
  • Whisper White CS:  5-1/2" x 4-3/4" (daisy)
  • Perennial Essence Floral Centers:  1

Here are the cards that coordinate with the Woven Thread Suite. I have this suite of products, so I was able to use them. I used the Sahara Sand card bases from the kit on all three cards. The card on the left is the design from the kit.

On the middle card, I used the Woven Heirlooms Bundle, which includes the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set and the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. I also added the Woven Thread Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. I stamped the medallion stamp from the kit onto the DSP with the Terracotta Tile ink pad. I used the Crumb Cake & Terracotta Tile Classic Stampin' Pads, along with the Pretty Peacock Stampin' Spot ink pad that came in the kit. Everything else I used comes from the kit. The frame is put on with Stampin' Dimensionals.

On the last card, I used the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set, along with the stamp set that came in the kit (the medallion). I fussy cut the medallion out. Everything else I used comes from the kit. I also used the Terracotta Tile ink pad, along with the Pretty Peacock Stampin' Spot in the kit. The bow linen thread piece was fold in half before tying it into a bow.

Left Card Dimensions:
  • Crumb Cake card base from kit
  • Woven Threads DSP:  1-1/2" x 5-1/2"
  • Pretty Peacock CS:  4" x 5" (frame)
  • Whisper White CS:  2-1/2" x 3-1/2" (cut out with the oval in the oval frame die in the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders
  • Blue Banner from kit
  • Woven Threads Sequin Assortment
Right Card Dimensions:
  • Crumb Cake card base from kit
  • DSP piece from the kit
  • Banner from kit
  • Whisper White CS:  2" x 2" (medallion - fussy cut)
  • Linen Thread in the kit:  12" (bow) & 9" (loops behind medallion)
  • Paper clip in the kit
  • Woven Threads Sequin Assortment

These are the cards that coordinate with the Come Sail Away Suite. I also have the products in this suite, so I was able to use them. I used the Mossy Meadow card bases from the kit for these cards. The card on the left is the design from the kit.

On the middle card, I used the On My Mind Stamp Set that came in the kit for the greeting, and stamped it with the Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad. I also used the sailboat, boat steering wheel, and rectangle label die-cuts from the kit. The boat steering wheel was put on with the circle ring dimensional in the kit, and the sailboat was put on with Stampin' Dimensionals. I put a gold pearl from the Metallic Pearls onto the center of the boat steering wheel. The rope strip and bow were die-cut with dies from the Smooth Sailing Dies. I also used the Come Sail Away DSP, and it was die-cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

On the last card, I used the Sailing Home Bundle, which includes the Sailing Home Stamp Set and the Smooth Sailing Dies that were used above. I used the Come Sail Away DSP again, and I again used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to die-cut it out. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies to die-cut the compass out. I made the "rope" on the anchor using the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine. I knotted it a few times and frayed the ends to get the look. I also used the On My Mind Stamp Set for the shell. There is no die for it, so I fussy cut it out. I used the Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Soft Suede, & Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pads. After stamping the lighthouse, I brushed over the image with a Blender Pen. It makes the ink bleed a bit, which colors in the image. I also used the Pear Pizzazz circle die-cut from the kit. The anchor and greeting label were put on with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Left Card Dimensions:
  • Mossy Meadow card base from kit
  • Soft Suede CS:  4-1/2" x 3-1/8" (DSP mat) & 4-1/2" x 1-1/2" (rope strip and bow)
  • Come Sail Away DSP:  4-3/4" x 3-1/4" (die-cut out with the 3rd largest rectangle die)
  • Sailboat die-cut from kit
  • Boat Steering Wheel die-cut from kit
  • Rectangle Label die-cut from kit
  • Metallic Pearls:  1 gold pearl
Right Card Dimensions:
  • Mossy Meadow card base from kit
  • Come Sail Away DSP:  4-3/4" x 3-1/4" (die-cut out with the 3rd largest rectangle die)
  • Whisper White CS:  4" x 3-1/2" (lighthouse, greeting label, and seashell)
  • Soft Suede CS:  1-1/2" x 2" (anchor)
  • Balmy Blue CS:  1-3/4" x 1-3/4" (compass - die-cut with the smallest circle die)
  • Pear Pizzazz Circle die-cut from kit
  • Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine:  3" (thread through the anchor hole, bringing ends together - tie around 4 knots to get the rope look and fray the ends)

Below, you'll find all of the supplies I used to make the new card designs in one place:
