Forest Friends - Dear Friend Card

This is another card I received in the digital swap I was in. This one was made by one of my uplines, Cheri Stojkovich. I love the way she put the deer in the cut-out from the SU! Movers & Shapers Curly Label Bigz XL die (p. 195). I don't have this die yet, but it's on my wish list. One neat thing about this die is that you can put the curly label cut-out anywhere on the card front you want it. I also think the Walk in the Park designer paper (p. 9) she used goes great with these cute little animals from the Forest Friends (p. 19) set. Both the stamp set and the paper are in the Occasions Mini.

Occasions Digital Swap-Great Friend

I've been in another digital swap, and this is one of the great cards I received. This card was made by fellow demonstrator, Shelley Nanney. I love how simple and beautiful this card is! I also love how she colored the Whisper White Organza Ribbon to match her card. This card was made using only one stamp set, Great Friend (p. 6) from the current Occasions Mini.

Flower Pot Pocket Card

This is a cute pocket card idea that I found on Splitcoaststampers. This has to be my favorite pocket card to date. If you would like to see the instructions on how to make one yourself, CLICK HERE.

The picture on the right shows the card that is inside the pocket. I left it blank so I can have room to write in it if I decide to give it away. I love that the flowers are actually attached to the card and not the pot. Very cute idea!

The flowers were made by using the Scallop Circle Punch, and cutting each scallop to make the petals. The leaves were made by folding a piece of card stock in half and running it through the paper crimper diagonally. While the card stock is still folded, cut out a half oval, making one end skinny and pointed. Unfold and you've got a leaf.

Stamp Set: Oval All (Occasions mini)

Paper: Chocolate Chip Textured card stock; Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, & Whisper White card stock; Bella Rose Designer Paper

Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic ink pad

Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch; Scallop Oval Punch (mini), Large Oval Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Cutter, Paper Crimper, & Paper Snips

Best Wishes-Manhattan Style

I finally got to use another product I've had for awhile...the beautiful SU! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die (p. 202). This die makes gorgeous cards! The flowers were dry embossed on a piece of Shimmery White card stock, so it sparkles in real life. Not only is the card elegant, it is a very quick card to make as well. This only took me a few minutes! I really like these flowers paired up with the Urban Garden designer paper (p. 159), too. I just love the Baja Breeze color!

Supplies: Oval All (mini) set; Baja Breeze & Shimmery White card stock; Urban Garden DSP; Baja Breeze Classic ink pad; Scallop Oval Punch (mini), Large Oval Punch, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, SU! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions die, & Paper Snips

My First Forest Friends Card

I finally got to make a card with my cute little Forest Friends set from the Occasions Mini (p. 19). This set is so adorable! It's a little set of 4 stamps, but there are so many cute projects you can make with it. This picture didn't turn out very well. The colors are a little off, and I couldn't get it quite right editing in the computer either. If you look really close, you'll see that I dry embossed the Kiwi Kiss (green) card stock with one of the plates from the SU! Backgrounds Texturz Plates (p. 203). The dry embossing shows up a lot better in person. I hope you like it!

Supplies: Forest Friends (mini) & Sweet Little Sentiments (hostess-level 1); Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Passion, & Naturals Ivory card stock, Going Gray, Pink Passion, & Kiwi Kiss Classic ink pads; Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, Blender Pens, Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch (mini), Large Oval Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, & SU! Backgrounds I Texturz Plates

8-1/2" x 8-1/2" Scrapbook Album Class

I've finally been able to work on the On Board 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" scrapbook album that I ordered months ago! I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time. I still need to paper the inside and make the pages, but I love how the outside of it has turned out.

Next month is National Scrapbooking Month, and I'm going to have a class making this cute album! On Saturday, May 30, (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.), those that attend will make this cute scrapbook along with ten 2-page, 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" scrapbook pages that go inside! Everyone who attends will get the On Board 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" Scrapbook Album (p. 183), a whole pack of "Good Morning Sunshine" (p 160) designer series paper (everyone keeps the extras from the paper pack that are leftover), and everything else needed to make the album and pages. The cost for all of this is only $45 plus a snack and a 2 liter! I'll fix a Ham Breakfast Casserole for breakfast, too! Deadline to sign-up for this class is Wednesday, May 20 @ 8 p.m.

Forest Friends

This cute card was made by one of the new members of my local swap group, Terri Boyd. I'm so glad she's in our group. All of her cards were great! This cute one is a long card. It's hard to tell in the picture, but she put Dazzling Diamonds glitter around the edges of the white tag and in the white areas of the flowers. Don't you just love the little bunny? It looks like Thumper from Bambi!

Occasions Mini Samples

I'm so sorry that I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. To make up for it, I'm including 2 cards that were made by 2 good friends and fellow demonstrators, Shirley Brown & Mandy Holtzhausen. They are Indiana ladies that I swap with each mini and each new catty.

There are 8 of us in our group now, and I'm so glad that we swap together. There are three new ladies that I haven't met yet (one's even from Wisconsin), but I've known the other 4 for awhile now. We've stamped together, gone to Stampin' Up! events together, met for dinner, and have become very good friends. If I hadn't joined Stampin' Up!, I never would have met these ladies. There are so many ladies that I've become good friends with through Stampin' Up!, and being a demonstrator has made them all possible!

Shirley's Card - Wagon Full of Fun Set (p. 13 in the Occasions Mini)

Mandy's card - Very Versatile Set (p. 5 in the Occasions Mini)

This class has been moved to Friday, May 1, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. This class includes your very own Trendy Trees stamp set (p. 91 in the big catalog) and all of the supplies to make the cards pictured above. I'm even going to mount the set for you! You get all of this for only $27!

The only thing you'll need is adhesive and ink pads. I also used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. You can still make them without it, but it makes it a lot easier.

If you come pick up your kit at my house, you just pay $27. If you need it mailed to you, you'll need to add $5 for shipping. Deadline to order this kit is Wednesday, April 22. If you don't own some or all of the ink pads I used or the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig, and want to purchase them, you can purchase them @ 15% off when you buy this kit. The ink colors I used are:

Basic Gray, So Saffron, Baja Breeze,
Regal Rose, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive,
Elegant Eggplant, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip,
Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, & Summer Sun.

The 15% off price for the ink pads is $5.06 each ($6.12 with shipping & sales tax) and the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig is $10.16 ($12.28 with shipping & sales tax). To take advantage of the 15% off on these items, you must order them when you buy the kit.

Spring 12" x 12" Scrapbook Page

It doesn't feel or look much like Spring here in Indiana, so I thought I'd try to cheer you up by posting a Spring scrapbook page. This is the scrapbook page that my Stampin' Technique members can choose to make this month. They will be learning the Dahlia Fold.

The picture on the right is a closeup of the flower that was made using the Dahlia Fold technique. Click on the picture to see a larger image of it. This fold is perfect with our double-sided designer paper. I just love how this turned out! The ladies in my club can also choose to make a card instead. I haven't made it yet, but it will have this same flower on it. Everyone will also make a technique flip card with the instructions on how to do this technique to add to their technique ring.

If you wish you had joined this club, there's still hope! There are still 2 spots open in this club. Right now, everyone has to place a minimum of $20 a month, but if I fill the two spots, it'll go down to a $15 a month minimum order. Everyone in the club also gets to be hostess one of the months and receive all of the free hostess benefits! You also get the current catalog and the new one in July free! To find out more, take a look at the club FACT SHEET. If you are interested in joining or have questions, please CONTACT ME.

With One Stamp Set Class - Trendy Trees

Above, you'll see one of the projects that will be made at my upcoming With One Stamp Set Class-Trendy Trees. It is a different variation of an accordion card. The card is closed in the picture above. One of the newest members of my local swap group, Terri, made a wonderful card similar to this one using a new set from the Occasions Mini, Forest Friends. The minute I saw it, I knew I needed to make one for this class.

I'm planning on having a "With One Stamp Set Class" every quarter, and this is going to be my very first one. The great thing about these classes is that the stamp set is included in the fee. When the class is over, you get to take the stamp set home and have 4 projects to go along with it! I'll even mount the set for you! This first class will be centered around one of my favorite new sets, Trendy Trees (p. 91).

The picture above on the right is the card completely open. The picture on the left is a closeup of the middle "page" of the card. Not only are the images in this set wonderful, but there are also 2 greeting stamps that come along with it..."Thinking of You" and "Thanks so Much."

This class will be held at my house on Friday, May 1, 6:30-9:00 p.m. The fee for the mounted stamp set and the 4 projects is $27.00. If you would like to attend, please let me know by Wednesday, April 22. I need to know early so I know how many stamp sets to order.

The picture on the right is a closeup of the last "page" of the card. I left a little space at the bottom so I can put my name at the bottom when I give it to someone...that is if I can part with it! If you want to see a larger image of any of the card pictures, click on it. Just in case you're wondering, I did use the stamp set, Only Ovals (p. 124) on the front of the card, too. The colors used are Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Summer Sun, & Chocolate Chip. I also used Good Morning Sunshine designer paper (p. 160), Big Shot Die-Cut Machine (p. 193), SU! Birds & Blooms Sizzlits 4-Pack (p. 201), Silver Brads (p. 174), Wide Oval Punch (p. 184), 5/16" Jumbo Brads (p. 174), & Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (p. 189).
