Sneak Peek - Jar of Flowers Shaker Card

I've got another shaker card for you, but this time, it's with the BRAND NEW Jar of Flowers Bundle from the new 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog that comes out on June 3, 2020. This shaker card was so much fun to make...and easy! The new Mason Jar Shaker Domes, along with the Jar Punch from the Jar of Flowers Bundle are what make it so easy! All of these items are in the Flowers for Every Season Suite. You can learn how to make this shaker card in my video below.

I used a few retiring products on this card...The Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Mint Macaron 1/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon. I think the DSP coordinates beautifully with the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set.

The other retiring products I used are the Lovely Lipstick items. This color is one of the retiring In Colors, so the cardstock used for the card base, and the Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends are both retiring. All retiring items are while supplies last or until June 2, 2020...whichever comes first. You'll need to hurry if you want any of them!

I also used a couple items from the new Ornate Garden Suite, also from the new Annual Catalog. Stampin' Up! has made it possible for all of us to get these NOW! I used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and the Ornate Borders Dies. Both of these coordinate with so many other products...not just those from the Ornate Garden Suite.

The gems I put inside the shaker are from the new Flowers for Every Season Gems. I love how they look in that mason jar. The green gems are a new In Color, Just Jade.

There are no dies to cut out the mason jar lid, but I show how to cut it out easily with the Jar Punch in the video below.

I colored the flowers in with Stampin' Blends...Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, and Petal Pink. Some of these blends are not available right now, but they will be again on June 3, when the new catalog comes out. Remember, the Lovely Lipstick Blends are retiring, though.

It is wonderful that the floral bouquet stamps in the Jar of Flowers set do not have the stems attached. The stems are a separate stamp! I didn't want to use the stems inside the card, as you can see. The greeting comes from another stamp set in the Flowers for Every Season Suite, and it's called Celebrate Sunflowers. I thought the greeting was perfect since there are bunches of flowers inside and outside the card.

Dimensions:
  • Lovely Lipstick:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Petal Pink:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Mint Macaron:  4" x 3/4" (border)
  • Whisper White:  3-1/4" x 4-1/2" (flower label), 3" x 3" (inside of jar), 4" x 5-1/4" (inside of card), and scraps (mason jar lid)
  • Best Dressed DSP:  4" x 2"
  • Mint Macaron 1/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon:  4" (strip) and 12" (bow)

Stamp With Me - First Frost Wreath Card

I paired retiring Stampin' Up! products with new products coming in the upcoming 2020-2021 Annual Catalog for today's card. I'm very happy with how this one turned out. You can learn how to make the card in the video below.

The first retiring items I used were the First Frost Stamp Set and their coordinating dies, Frosted Bouquets Dies. I have always loved this stamp set and dies! They're beautiful! The greeting came from this stamp set, too.

Another item that retiring is the GORGEOUS Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is one of my favorite DSP packs, and I'm really going to miss it! It's on sale, too! There's a link to this DSP in the supply list below. Hurry! All retiring items are available while supplies last or until June 2, 2020 (whichever comes first).

The last retiring item I used was the Pearlized Doilies pack. These doilies are so shimmery in person! I love how the back is a matte white, so you can make them any color you want!

How about that gold wreath? This is a new product that will be in the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. It's hard to tell in the picture, but they're gold metal-like hoops. I have so many project ideas going through my head for these beauties! It's going to be hard to pick which one to do next! I show how to attach them to the card, and how to add flowers to them, in the video below. It's easier than you think!

I also used the brand new Greenery Embossing Folders from the upcoming annual catalog. This is a set of TWO embossing folders, and I used both of them on the card. Aren't they wonderful?!

I stamped two stamps from the First Frost Stamp Set onto the inside panel of the card. If you re-create the card with me, you can definitely add more...like some flowers and a greeting.

Dimensions:
  • Petal Pink:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base), 1-5/8" x 5-1/4" (strip), 3-1/8" x 4-1/8" (Old Olive mat), & a scrap piece at least 2-1/2" z 2-1/2" in size (greeting circle)
  • Old Olive:  3" x 4" (embossed rectangle)
  • Whisper White:  1-1/2" x 5-1/4" (embossed strip), 8-1/2" x 1-1/4" (flowers & leaves), 4" x 5-1/4" (inside of card)
  • Perennial Essence DSP:  4" x 5-1/4"
  • Pearlized Doilies:  1 doily
  • Gold Hoop Embellishments:  1 hoop

Facebook Live Replay - Peaceful Poppies, Ornate Garden, & Honey Bee Cards

Happy Monday, everyone! Today's post showcases the cards I made in my weekly Facebook/YouTube Live last Friday. I featured some items that are retiring from the Peaceful Poppies Suite in the Jan-June 2020 Mini Catalog on the first card, the Brand New Ornate Garden Suite from the upcoming annual catalog that you can order now on the second card, and the retiring Honey Bee Bundle from the Mini Catalog on the third.

I had so much fun using the retiring Peaceful Poppies Elements and Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP). Using these two items together made a super quick and pretty card. If you want these two products, you'll need to hurry! They're only available while supplies last or until June 2, 2020...whichever comes first.

I paired the with the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in the same suite. Thankfully, this stamp set will be in the new annual catalog.

In the video below, I show one of the ways you can use the white embossed images, watercolor paper die-cuts in the Peaceful Poppies Elements pack. I also show how to color the vellum die-cuts to match your projects. (If click on the above pictures, you'll be able to see larger images of them.)

Dimensions:
  • Poppy Parade:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (base layer)
  • Peaceful Poppies DSP:  4" x 2"
  • Peaceful Poppies Elements:  1 watercolor paper flower, two vellum flowers, and three vellum leaves (see picture for the ones needed)

My second card features the new Ornate Garden Suite. I used both bundles from this suite, along with the DSP and embossing folder. The flower and frame die-cut are part of the Ornate Style Bundle. This bundle includes the Ornate Style Stamp Set and the Ornate Layers Dies. The greeting and border die-cuts are from the Ornate Thanks Bundle. This bundle includes the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set  and the Ornate Borders Dies. Purchasing them as bundles saves you 10%! The beautiful embossing folder is called Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder, and the DSP is called Ornate Garden Specialty DSP.

All of the items will be in the upcoming Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, but you can purchase them NOW! To see all of the products in the Ornate Garden Suite, CLICK HERE.

I even used a new In Color...Bumblebee. It's the pretty yellow card base. You'll be able to get the new In Colors on June 3, 2020! If you would like to get them earlier like I did, along with some other new products from the upcoming annual catalog, you can! Join my Friendly Stampers Team today! You can find out more about joining my team by CLICKING HERE.

Dimensions:
  • Bumblebee:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Mint Macaron:  5-1/4" x 4" (embossed layer)
  • Early Espresso:  2-1/4" x 3-3/4" (frame)
  • Whisper White:  1-3/4" x 3-1/4" (flower), 2-3/8" x 1" (greeting), & 5-1/4" x 1" (border)
  • Ornate Garden Specialty DSP:  5-1/4" x 2"

The last card I made in the video below features the retiring Honey Bee Bundle from the Mini Catalog and Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP from the current annual catalog.

I'm so sad that the Honey Bee Bundle is retiring! I've had so much fun making cards with this bundle. This one is a fun shaker card. I messed up a little bit when I made the card in the video. I forgot to attach the honeycomb die-cut at the right time. Here's how you're supposed to do it:

Put glue onto the back of the honeycomb, and attach it to the top, center of the window sheet. Turn the Whisper White/hive opening piece over, and put SNAIL Adhesive all around the edge of the opening like I did in the video. With the honeycomb on top, attach the window sheet to the piece, making sure to center the honeycomb within the opening. Then, put the Foam Adhesive strips around the opening like I did in the video. After that, the video is right.

The sequins I used in the shaker card are the Peaceful Poppies Sequins from the Mini Catalog. I'm sorry to say that these sequins are retiring, too. I love all of the colors in this sequin pack. Remember, all retiring products are while supplies last or until June 2, 2020! Get your favorites now, before they're gone forever!

Dimensions:
  • Basic Black:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" (hive mat)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer), 3" x 3" (hive), 3-1/2" x 2-1/4" (bees), 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" (stamped hive)
  • Window Sheet:  2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
  • Gold Foil Sheets:  2-1/2" x 2" (honeycomb) & (2) 4" x 1/2" (DSP mat)
  • Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP:  4" x 2"

If you are reading this post in an email feed, you'll need to go to the original post to see the supply list.
Peaceful Poppies Elements Card:  Note:  The Aqua Painters aren't listed, because they're sold out. The Water Painters I talk about in the video will be available June 3, 2020.

Ornate Garden Suite Card:  The Bumblebee Cardstock will be available to purchase on June 3, 2020.
