Ornate Style & Ornate Thanks Card

Here's another card I've made with the beautiful Ornate Garden Suite. I'm having so much fun with this suite! I'm so glad Stampin' Up! is letting us all purchase these beautiful products early! If you haven't received information on this wonderful opportunity, you can find out more by CLICKING HERE. There's a video in that post, too. I demo another card and show all of the products in the suite up close.

I just love that big "Thank You" image. This stamp comes from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set in the suite. As you can see, it's perfectly sized to go across a portrait-oriented, card. It looks great on a landscape-oriented card, too. You can get direct links to each product I used in the supply list below.

The beautiful floral stamp comes from another stamp set in the suite, Ornate Style. I used the dies that coordinate with this stamp set, and they're called Ornate Layers Dies. If you purchase these two items in the Ornate Style Bundle, you'll save 10% versus buying them separately.

Aren't those layers beautiful? The Ornate Layers Dies are SO GORGEOUS, and they can be used with so many other stamp sets! As I made this card, I was so excited to find out that the Stitched Rectangle Dies coordinate perfectly with these dies, too! These are the dies I used to die-cut the floral image. It fits inside that frame perfectly!

I watercolored the images in with a Blender Pen and Classic Stampin' Pads. You can find out how I did it in the video below. I got the color combo from the colors in the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP). I ended up not using the DSP, but I still wanted to use the beautiful color combo!

I heat embossed the floral image with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder before watercoloring it in. I love copper, and I'm sad to say this emboss powder is retiring! Not only that, but it just sold out. When I made the video earlier this week, it was still available. You can definitely substitute with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. There's a direct link to the gold emboss powder in the supply list below. If you've never heat embossed before, make sure to watch the video below. It's so easy to do, and it's a big WOW, too.

Here's the inside of the card. The little flower is also from the Ornate Style Stamp Set. The greeting is from the Ornate Thanks set. I really like how there are large greeting stamps in this set, along with smaller, script ones that can be paired with them.

I also used the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder in the suite. I embossed the Mint Macaron layer with it. I think the picture above shows it best. The video below really shows it off better, too.

Dimensions:
  • Early Espresso:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Mint Macaron:  4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (embossed layer)
  • Terracotta Tile:  3-1/2" x 5-1/2" (frame)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 2-1/2" (floral image), 4-1/4" x 1-1/4" (greeting), & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
