Dressed to Impress Mother's Day Card & Purse Gift Bag

I can't believe I haven't posted this one! I made this projects in a Facebook/YouTube Live a few weeks ago. I'm so glad I realized I hadn't posted it before Mother's Day! Of course, these can also be made for any occasion...just change the greeting on the card!

This feminine card features the Best Dressed Suite from the Stampin' Up! January - June 2020 Catalog. The products I used from the suite are the Dressed To Impress Bundle and Best Dressed 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also used the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon from the Parisian Blossoms Suite from the same catalog.

When I was planning this card, I knew I wanted to make a mirror. I did this by using Silver Foil Sheets. I really like how it turned out. If you look closely, you can see that the parfum bottle shimmers! I did that by brushing Clear Wink of Stella on it. I topped it off by attaching a bow to the top of the bottle. I think any mother would LOVE to get this special card.

Since our mother's are special to us, I wanted to use a fun fold on the card to make it extra special. The fun fold is called a gate-fold card. It doesn't only make cards look beautiful, it is also SUPER easy! You can learn how to do it in the video below.

Here's the beautiful inside. Yes, I put Clear Wink of Stella on this parfum bottle, too! I love using a strip of DSP on the inside of my cards. I think it looks so pretty! Purple Posy: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (With an 8-1/2" side along the top, score at 2-1/8" on each end) & 3" x 4" (mirror frame)
Petal Pink: 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" (embossed, right flap)
Whisper White: 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" (parfum bottle, lipstick, & greeting), 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" (flowers), 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)

I absolutely LOVE the purses you can make with the All Dressed Up Dies! These dies can be purchased as a bundle, which also includes the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set I used on the card and the purse. Purchasing them as a bundle saves you 10% compared to purchasing them separately. These two items will be available in the upcoming 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, BUT the bundle is RETIRING! If you want to save 10%, then you need to get the Dressed to Impress Bundle ASAP! Just like the DSP, it's WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or until June 2, 2020!

I wanted to make the purse look quilted, and I was able to do that with the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder. I show how to do that, along with how to assemble the purse, in the video below. I'm sorry to say that the TUFTED 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER IS RETIRING, too! I have had so much fun with this embossing folder, and I really hate to see it go!

Stampin' Up! thought of everything when they made the All Dressed Up Dies! I was able to make the buckles, button, and the front "pouch" with the dies. I was able to die-cut them all with one run through the die-cutting machine, too. Yes, all four buckles were made by running it through the machine ONCE! Gotta love that! There are even dies to die-cut the flowers out!

Here's a side-view of the purse. There are even score lines in the sides of the purse! I opted to have them fold in for this purse. If you need it to be wider for your gift, just have them fold out.
