Sale-A-Bration Begins Today!

That's right! The biggest event of the Stampin' Up! year is here...

With every $50 you spend (before shipping & tax) from now until March 31, you get to pick out a free gift from Stampin' Up! Best of all, there's no limit! If you spend $100, you get 2 gifts to pick out, and if you spend $150, you get 3 gifts and hostess benefits! I just love free stuff, don't you?! If you don't have a Sale-A-Bration brochure yet, ask your demonstrator for one. If you don't have a demonstrator, I'd be happy to send one to you. You can also see it online HERE.

The Sale-A-Bration (SAB) items that are being offered are wonderful! There are 4 exclusive SAB sets, a paper & accents pack, a ribbon & button pack, digital content CD, and a decor element. There are also more than 60 stamps sets from the big catalog to choose from, too!

Below is one of the SAB sets called Bliss (p. 10). I really like this set a lot. I love the vintage look it makes! I also used the Framed Tulips Impressions Folder from the Occasions Mini (p. 28). After attaching the designer paper to the bottom of the card, I attached the pinking heart border to the back and bottom of the embossed vanilla piece and then attached it to the card front. In case you can't tell by the picture, the butterfly was stamped, cut out, and then put on top of the ornate design.

Stamps: Bliss (SAB)

Ink: Baja Breeze & Soft Suede Classic ink pads

Paper: Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, & Very Vanilla card stock; Elegant Soiree DSP

Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Framed Tulips Impressions Folder (Mini), Pinking Hearts Border Punch, 1-3/4" x 7/8" Oval L Punch, & Scallop Oval XL Punch, Paper Snips, & Stampin' Dimensionals.

I CASEd this card from a card I received in a swap made by Debbie Prante. Her card is pictured below.

I love this project! This is going to be one of the projects made at my Valentines' Day Stamp Camp. I've had to reschedule this camp, and it's now going to be on Thursday, January 27 @ 6:30 p.m. This not only is a cute flower bouquet, it's also a candy container. I put some chocolate candies into the milk carton/flower pot before putting the flowers in. I then closed the milk carton with a Real Red Glimmer Brad from the Brights Glimmer Brad pack (p. 31) in the Occasions Mini.

The big heart on the milk carton is made using the Red Glimmer Paper (p. 7 in the Occasions Mini). The "XOXO" on the polka-dotted heart is from the Love Impressions rub-ons set (p. 8 in the Mini).

Be My Valentine Easel Card

I was wanting to post this card yesterday, but was unable to. This is another card that will be made at my Valentines' Day Stamp Camp next Thursday, Jan. 13. To find out more, please go to my EVENTS CALENDAR.

This is the second easel card I've made, and I really like making them. They're really easy to make. You can see a wonderful tutorial on how to make them on SCS. You should really try it out!

I embossed the Blushing Bride (pink) piece with the new Framed Tulips Impressions Folder (p. 28) in the Occasions Mini. The main heart image is the new Be My Valentine stamp (p. 43) in the Occasions Mini, too. There are so many wonderful things in the new Occasions mini. My wish list is a mile long!

The picture on the left is a close-up of the card base. I used the newest letterpress plate, Heart Pressed (p. 7 in the Occasions Mini) on the pink layer. I put Very Vanilla Craft ink onto the plate, and then ran it along with the Blushing Bride card stock through the Big Shot. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I think the Very Vanilla ink looks good on the card stock. I really like the effect. Just click on the picture to get a better look.

Stamps: Be My Valentine (Mini) & I {Heart} Hearts sets

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, & Blushing Bride Classic ink pads; Very Vanilla Craft ink pad

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, & Very Vanilla card stock

Valentine's Stamp Camp Next Week

I know we just got done with Christmas, but there's another holiday coming up pretty soon...Valentine's Day! I usually wait until February to have my Valentine's Day Stamp Camp, but I've decided to do it earlier. That way, everyone who attends can have a month to order supplies and reproduce any of the projects on their own in time for Valentine's Day. My Valentine's camp will be next Thursday, January 13, @ 6:30 p.m. There will be 5 projects being made for only $15. There will be 3 special candy holders, a special card, and the card below. If you live near the southwest side of Indianapolis and would like to attend, please let me know by this Tuesday, January 11.

I used products that come in the Filled With Love bundle that Stampin' Up! is offering right now. It's available until January 24. When you buy the bundle, you also get a pack of Bitty Buttons for FREE! It's hard to see in the picture, but I put one of the bitty buttons in the center of the glitter heart in the center of the "O" with a Mini Glue Dot (p. 197). To see what comes in the bundle, please CLICK HERE, or click the "Filled With Love" icon in the right column under "Promotions."

I also used the new Glimmer Paper (p. 7) from the Occasions Mini on the red strip and the punched out heart in the "O." This paper is so sparkly! It really shimmers in real life. I also added a little more bling to the circle image by adding a small rhinestone from the Basic Rhinestones pack (p. 188). The circle is also popped up with a dimensional (p. 197).

This card goes with 2 different challenges this week, too. One is the Splitcoaststampers (SCS) card sketch SC314. The other one is the current challenge at SU! Only Challenges. The challenge is to use some bling on your card.

Stamps: Filled With Love (promo)

Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, & Wild Wasabi Classic ink

Paper: Basic Gray, Real Red, Pretty In Pink, & Whisper White card stock; Love Patterns DSP (promo), & Red Glimmer Paper (Mini)

Occasions Mini Begins Today!

Today is the first day you can order from the new 2011 Occasions Mini. If you would like to download a pdf file of this mini, you can CLICK HERE, or click on the Occasions Mini icon in the right column of this blog under "Catalogs". You can also see the items and place an order at my ONLINE STORE.

I was recently in an Occasions Mini card swap, and this is one of the cards that I made. I used the new Create A Cupcake (p. 22) set, along with the new Build A Cupcake XL Punch (p. 22) that are in the new Occasions Mini Catalog. I'm a sucker for the stamp sets that have coordinating punches. I just love them! This one is super cute, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. This card is a basic, quick card...perfect for a swap. I hope you like it!

It's 2011!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's! I really enjoyed all of the time I was able to spend with my wonderful family. My kids have been off from school for the last 2 weeks, and my husband was off from work the last week and a half. It was so good to have everyone home. Well, my husband went back to work today, 2 of my 3 kids go back to school tomorrow, and my oldest's college classes start next Monday, so things are getting back to normal. I really enjoyed being with my family, but I'm ready to get back to work on my stamping. I'm so behind!

I have seen a lot of other bloggers having a year-in-review, showcasing their favorite projects from each month of 2010. I thought I'd do the same. You can click on the picture if you would like to see the actual post. I hope you enjoy it. I'll start posting new projects starting tomorrow!
