Tonight's the Night for Another Fun Fold Card!
I'll be going Live on my Create With Christy YouTube Channel tonight, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 6:30 pm (ET). I've been talking about doing this for awhile now, and I've now decided to make the change to doing my Lives on YouTube only. I started thinking about it when Facebook decided to delete Lives after 30 days, and ever since then, there have been other things I've had to deal with, including Lives not posting at all and the views on my Lives getting smaller each week (and my YouTube's views going up).
Tonight, I'll be showing you how to make this beautiful Elegant Leaves Flip Flop Card! This is one of those cards that looks pretty when it's closed, but wait until you open it! The fun fold gives the card a whole different look when it's opened up. I love cards that have a little surprise built into them, don't you? I hope you'll join me tonight as I walk you through making this card step by step. Even if you've never made a Flip Flop Card before, I'll show you how everything goes together, and you'll be amazed how easy it is to make!

The star of tonight's card is the Elegant Leaves Bundle from the Stampin' Up! September–December 2026 Catalog. This bundle includes the Elegant Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I love the detail in the leaf images, and the dies make it easy to cut them out. For this card, I stamped several different leaves in coordinating colors and arranged them together to make a pretty fall display. I also added some gold die-cut leaves to give the arrangement a little extra shine. The different leaf shapes and colors look so pretty together, and I think you'll love how they work with the Designer Series Paper.
Now, let's talk about the fun fold! This card is called a Flip Flop Card, and it's a fun way to change up your usual card design. When the card is closed, it has a pretty layered front with a cornered diagonal section that shows off two different paper designs. The decorated leaf panel is the main focal point. When you open the card, the diagonal section swings out to the left, and the center panel flips up to reveal the inside. It's a fun design that gives you several different areas to decorate. I'll show you how to cut, score, and assemble everything during tonight's Live so you can make one yourself!
The Designer Series Paper on this card is the gorgeous Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is a Stampin' Up! Product of the Month! I used two coordinating designs, and I just love how they look together. One has a deep Secret Sea background with beautiful gold floral outlines, while the other has a warm Pecan Pie background with gold leaf designs. The gold accents really stand out against the darker colors! I used the Pecan Pie and gold paper on the main section of the card and the Secret Sea and gold floral paper on the diagonal section. Both designs are visible when the card is closed, and you get an even better look at them when it's open.
If you haven't gotten the Luxe Foliage Specialty DSP yet, you can get it for just $5 with an order of at least $75 after rewards and before shipping and tax. It's only available while supplies last, so don't wait too long if you'd like to get some!
For the finishing touches, I added three small gold embellishments from the Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots around the leaf arrangement on the front of the card. They're a simple addition, but they tie in beautifully with the gold designs in the paper and the gold die-cut leaves. I also tucked a little Linen Thread double bow behind the greeting. I love using Linen Thread on fall cards because it gives them a nice, natural look. The greeting says "grateful for you," which makes this a wonderful card to send to someone special. It's perfect for letting a friend or family member know how much you appreciate them!
The inside of this card is just as fun as the outside! When you open it completely, the Secret Sea and gold floral paper swings out to the left, showing off that beautiful diagonal section. The center panel flips upward, revealing a Basic White layer where you can write your personal message. I stamped a small Peaceful Pine leaf in the bottom right corner of the white layer to dress it up without taking away too much writing space. The Pecan Pie and gold leaf paper frames the message area beautifully, too. I love how the different parts of the card work together when it's completely open. It really is a fun card to give someone, especially when they aren't expecting the inside to look like this!
I Also Have a FREE Project Sheet Available for This Card!
It includes the cardstock and Designer Series Paper measurements, pictures of the card, and a complete supply list. You can use the project sheet to follow along with me during tonight's Live, or you can get your supplies cut and ready ahead of time so you can stamp along with me! Of course, you can always watch the replay later if you can't join us tonight. Having the project sheet handy will make it easier to put your own Flip Flop Card together, and you can save it to make more cards later with different stamps and papers.
