New Catalog Debut Project

Well, I'm home today because of the snow, so I'm getting things ready for my New Catalog Debut Open House this Friday. It's really nice having a full day to work on it! This 12" x 12" page is one of the projects being made at my open house. I used the new stamp set, Petal Pizzazz (p. 90 of the new catty). It's a set of 7 stamps for $32.95. As you can see, the flowers are a little larger than most, so it's great for scrapbook pages. Of course, it's good for cards, too.

See how the left leaf of the red flower is behind it? I cut a little slot around a couple petals of the red flower with my hobby blade, and inserted the end of the leaf inside. I didn't want to have to cut out the whole flower, so doing it this way was a lot quicker, and the leaf looks a lot better with an end underneath the flower.

There will be a card made at my open house as well. I plan on posting a picture of it tomorrow. For more information about my New Catalog Debut, CLICK HERE.
