Snowflake Quilt Christmas Card

Wow, I'm a little late with this one. LoL I wanted to make a Christmas card that used non-traditional colors, and this is what I came up with. I used some of the colors in the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack. Of course, I just had to add a Foil Snowflake! If you would like to get these Foil Snowflakes, I'm offering a full pack of them with a qualifying order this month. CLICK HERE to find out how. You can see my other Foil Snowflake projects HERE.

Dimensions:
  • Real Red:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer) & 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" (quilt image)
  • Lemon Lime Twist & Blushing Bride:  scraps
  • Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack:  4" x 2"
  • Foil Snowflakes:  1 Silver
  • Clear Faceted Gems:  1 Large
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the "Have yourself..." stamp from the Christmas Quilt Stamp Set onto the bottom, right corner of the larger Whisper White piece using the Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad. Emboss the top half of the piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Fold the Real Red piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the Whisper White embossed piece onto the card base.
  2. Stamp the stitched, quilt outline stamp onto the smaller Whisper White piece using the Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp the dotted, double-diamond shape stamp onto two opposite sections of the quilt outline using the Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad. Skip the next set of opposite sections, and stamp the next set the same way. Stamp the remaining quilt outline sections with the striped, double-diamond shape stamp using the Lemon Lime Twist Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the image out with its coordinating die from the Quilt Builder Framelits Dies. Attach the die-cut to the center of a silver snowflake from the Foil Snowflakes. Attach the snowflake onto the center of the DSP piece. Attach the DSP/snowflake across the embossed layer, just above the greeting. Attach a large gem from the Clear Faceted Gems to the center of the quilt piece.
  3. Die-cut the larger leaf die two times from a scrap piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Die-cut the small flower die three times from a scrap piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock. Attach the two leaves to the left of the greeting, and then attach the three flowers to the leaves using Mini Glue Dots. It should look like holly when finished.
