Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Retiring Products Blog Hop. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Christy Fulk - Create With Christy - USA, or you may have come from the person previous to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

For my main retiring product, I picked the super cute Garden Girl Stamp Set. I was so disappointed that this one retired so quick. I've been wanting it ever since it came out last year, but didn't get it until a few months ago. I just had to make at least one more card with it. Stamp sets are guaranteed until May 25, but after that, they're while supplies last (or until May 31). I also used the retiring colors, Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky. These are already while supplies last (or until May 31).

I also paired it with the BRAND NEW stamp set, Love What You Do. This set has some beautiful flowers in it, and I stamped them to show above the fence. The greeting also comes from this stamp set. This stamp set is featured in the Stampin' Up! Promotion in May. There will be three bundles, all include this stamp set, that have items from a new suite from the upcoming annual catalog called "Share What You Love." All of the products in the bundles, except the Statement of My Heart Stamp Set, will be in the upcoming annual catalog, but the bundles will not be. Each bundle includes one to three free products, so they're a great value. Come back on May 1 to find out about these wonderful bundles which will be available May 1-31, 2018!

Dimensions:
  • Rich Razzleberry:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (card base)
  • Basic Black:  5-1/4" x 4" (base layer)
  • Crumb Cake:  4-1/2" x 1-3/4" (fence)
  • Whisper White:  5-1/8" x 3-7/8" (image base) & 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" (girl and bird)

Instructions:
  1. Stamp the "It's a Beautiful Day" stamp from the Love What You Do Stamp Set onto the top, right corner of the Whisper White image base piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the medium-sized flower stem stamp from the same stamp set onto the piece using the Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad. Stamp it two times on each side, along the bottom of the piece. Stamp the two, inside ones a little higher than the two outer ones. Color the two outer flowers with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the inner flowers in with the Pumpkin Pie Dark Stampin' Blends Marker. Using a Stamping Sponge, sponge ink over the white part of the piece using the Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad.
  2. Fold the Rich Razzleberry piece in half (fold on top) to form the card base. Attach the stamped piece from Step 1 to the center of the Basic Black piece. Then, attach it to the center of the card front.
  3. Stamp the girl stamp from the Garden Girl Stamp Set onto one end of the last Whisper White piece using the Memento Pad. Stamp the bird stamp from the same stamp set onto the piece using the same ink pad. Color the girl's dress and hair bows with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color her skin with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker. Color her lips with the Cherry Cobbler Light Stampin' Blend Marker. Color her hair with the Bronze Stampin' Blends Marker. Lighten up the top, left side of her hair with the Color Lifter. Color her boots and the bird with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Color the carrots in with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack & Old Olive Light Stampin' Blends Marker. Color the basket with the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Fussy cut the bird and girl out.
  4. Stamp the fence stamp from the Garden Girl Stamp Set onto the Crumb Cake piece two times using the Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad.
  5. Attach the girl to the center of the card, in-between the two sets of flowers, only putting SNAIL Adhesive onto the center part of her. This makes her look a little more 3D. Attach a fence piece to each side of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Attach the bird to the top of the left fence section.

When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.

The supplies list does include the Love What You Love Suite products, but they won't be available until May 1-31, 2018 in bundles. The Stampin' Blends that are listed aren't available to purchase, but they will be sometime in May.
