The Simply Leaves Card Class @ Home (CC@H) features three fall cards using the Simply Leaves Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives. For Card 3, I paired a cluster of colorful leaves with beautiful floral paper for a thank-you card that has plenty of autumn color without feeling too busy. This design is also a great example of how Designer Series Paper can do a lot of the decorating for you!

The Simply Leaves Bundle includes the Simply Leaves Stamp Set and Simple Leaf Punch. I created a focal point for Card 3 with several stamped and punched leaves in rich fall colors. There’s a Blackberry Bliss dotted leaf, a Cajun Craze leaf with bold white veins, and a warm Pecan Pie leaf. I also stamped some delicate branches behind the punched leaves to add another layer of detail. A Linen Thread bow gives the cluster a little extra texture, and the simple “Thanks” greeting finishes it off without covering up all those pretty leaves.
The Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) really gets to shine on this card. This DSP is coming September 1, so you’re getting an early peek at it in this class! I used a strip of the floral pattern along the left side of the card. The paper has a beautiful mix of Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Petal Pink, Golden Glow, and touches of Lost Lagoon. Those colors coordinate wonderfully with the stamped leaves and make it easy to create a fall card that’s a little different from the traditional orange-and-brown combination. The DSP needed for this card will be included in my CC@H card kits.
The Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots add the perfect bit of shine. I placed the dots around the leaf arrangement and floral DSP so your eye moves around the card. The gold works especially well with the rich autumn colors and adds a pretty finishing touch without making the design too fancy. These embellishments are another September 1 sneak peek, and my CC@H card kits include a row of the Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots for you to use on the class cards.
I also carried the Autumn Opulence Specialty DSP to the inside of Card 3. The Very Vanilla layer gives you lots of room for a personal note, while a strip of the same floral DSP runs across the bottom. It’s such an easy way to coordinate the inside with the front of the card. I especially like using leftover strips of DSP this way because even a small piece can make the inside of a handmade card feel extra special.
