The Simply Leaves Card Class @ Home (CC@H) features three fall cards made with the Simply Leaves Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives. I love that this bundle makes it so easy to create leaves in all sorts of colors and patterns, which gives us lots of possibilities for fall card making. This first card is a colorful thank-you card with several layers, textures, and patterns. Even with all of those details, the leaves remain the star of the card.

The Simply Leaves Bundle includes the Simply Leaves Stamp Set and Simple Leaf Punch. Card 1 really shows off the different looks you can get from the leaf images. I used several colors for the leaves, including Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon, & Blackberry Bliss. Some leaves have bold vein designs while others feature fun patterns such as dots and checks. I clustered the leaves together and tied Linen Thread around the stems to help make them look like a little fall bouquet. The “I’m grateful for your kindness” greeting makes this a wonderful card to send to someone who has done something thoughtful for you.
The Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) is one of the new products coming September 1, and you get a sneak peek of it on this card! I used a colorful plaid pattern across the upper portion of the card. It has so many wonderful fall colors mixed together, and those colors gave me plenty of inspiration for the stamped leaves. I especially like how the plaid adds another pattern without competing with the larger leaves. The DSP needed to make this card is included in my CC@H card kits.
The Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots are another September 1 sneak peek. I scattered three of the gold dots around the card front, and their warm metallic finish works beautifully with all of these autumn colors. They’re small enough that they don’t distract from the leaf bouquet, but they give the finished card that little bit of shine I love. My CC@H card kits include a row of the Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots, so you’ll have the embellishments you need to finish the cards.
I kept the inside of Card 1 nice and simple. There’s a Very Vanilla layer with lots of open space for writing a personal message. To bring a little of the design from the front to the inside, I stamped one of the checked leaves in the lower-left corner. I love doing this because it makes the inside feel finished while still leaving plenty of room to write.
