The star of tonight’s card is the Begonia Belle Stamp Set, the July Product of the Month. I paired its beautiful flower and leaf images with the Beautiful Gallery 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, which is one of the DSP packs that is 15% off through August 31, 2026. I’m also giving you a sneak peek at the new Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder from the September–December 2026 Catalog. This new embossing folder will be available beginning September 1. As if that weren’t enough, I’ll also show you how I made the wood slice and how I created that gorgeous gold sentiment with the Stampin’ Hot Foil System.
I love how many different textures come together on the front of this card. The Begonia Belle flower is stamped in shades of blue and surrounded by green leaves, making it stand out beautifully against the moody blue floral pattern from the Beautiful Gallery DSP. The Basic White background has been embossed with the upcoming Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, adding subtle texture without competing with the other elements. I’ll also teach you how to make the wood slice using the Textured Tree Rings 3D Embossing Folder. It makes a wonderful backdrop for the flower and sentiment and adds a warm, natural element to the card.
Another feature I’m especially excited to demonstrate is the Stampin’ Hot Foil System. The large “Thinking of You” greeting on the front of the card was made with the Classic Greeting Hot Foil Dies. The shiny gold foil is such a pretty contrast against the softer blues, greens, and browns on the card. It gives the design just the right amount of shine and makes the sentiment an important part of the overall design instead of simply something added at the end.
The little finishing touches help pull everything together. The dark blue embellishments coordinate beautifully with the deep blue tones in the flower, DSP, and card base. I also love the contrast between the smooth, shiny gold foil greeting and all of the texture created by the Softly Woven and Textured Tree Rings 3D Embossing Folders. This is one of those cards where you can have a lot of fun combining different paper crafting techniques without the finished design feeling overly complicated.
I carried the Begonia Belle images to the inside of the card, too. The blue flower and green leaves are stamped in the lower-left corner, leaving plenty of open space for writing a personal message. I love decorating the inside of my cards because it makes the finished card feel extra special. It also ties the inside and outside together without making the inside too busy.
I’ve also made a free project sheet for this card so you can make one of your own. The project sheet includes a picture of the outside and inside of the card, all of the paper sizes you’ll need, and a complete supply list. You can download or print the project sheet below and keep it handy when you’re ready to make the card. It’s a great companion to the Live or replay because you can watch how I make the card and then use the project sheet when you’re crafting on your own.
