For my first alternative card, I still used the featured Merriest Trees Bundle, but I changed the layout of one of the cards from this card club. Even though it's a different layout than my actual card club card, I did only use what comes in the card kit.
If you look closely, you can see that the Basic White base layer is embossed. I used the new Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini). We've had snowflake background embossing folders before, but this one is my favorite of them all! The top of this layer has more snow falling then the bottom of the it. Isn't that cool? Don't worry if you don't own this embossing folder, because I will do the embossing for you.
This month includes a 1/2 pack of the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper (DSP), and you can see all of the designs in the video above. This DSP is extra special because Stampin' Up! will donate $3 from every pack purchased to organizations dedicated to spreading cheer and providing support to those in need. I almost missed this DSP in the catalog, and you might have, too! It's on p. 5 of the Holiday Mini. There's a link to this paper in the supply list, too.
There's also a 1/4 pack of the Silver & Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper from Stampin' Up!'s Online Exclusives. YES...this paper is adhesive-backed, and I LOVE it! I used a piece of the silver glimmer paper in the pack to make the star on the top of the tree. It was so easy to put on, since the adhesive was already on the back of it.
There are also two embellishments included in this month's card club. First is the GORGEOUS White Iridescent Ribbon. The iridescent shine of this ribbon is SO pretty in person! The picture shows the shine a little bit, but it's so much better in person! Club members will get a full roll of this beautiful ribbon.
The last embellishment is the Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins. These embellishments are so glittery, and the colors are blue, white, & Old Olive. Each color comes in two sizes, too. On this card, I used 2 large and 1 small of the white sequins. Club members will get a full pack of these sequins.
The inside is super easy to do. Just add a narrow strip of the same DSP used on the front of the card and attach it across the bottom of the Basic White inside layer.
