On my FIRST ALTERNATIVE CARD, I used the featured bundle for this month's club, Merriest Trees. I used the pieces in one of the card kits from this month's club, but I changed the layout around to make the card different.
This time, I used the same layout from a different card kit from this month's club, but I used a totally different bundle. This card features the Joy of Noel Bundle from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. This bundle is GORGEOUS, and it's perfect for traditional-looking Christmas projects. If you want to use it on a not-so-traditional Christmas project, just change to a non-traditional color combo. This bundle is also going to be my featured bundle for November's Club, too, but I'll have three other exclusive cards for club members to make.
There is One Club Card That I Didn't Make an Alternative For, and It's a Fun Fold Card!
Each month, I pick out $21-$27 worth of Stampin' Up! product for my club members to receive, along with their card kits, exclusive videos, & pdf. This month, the products are from the Sept-Dec Mini (except for one), and they are:
- 1/2 Pack of the Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper (DSP)
- 1/4 Pack of the Silver & Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper (an Online Exclusive)
- Full Roll of the White Iridescent Ribbon
- Full Pack of the Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins
I've used all four of these products on today's alternative card, too.
I had a hard time getting it to show up in the pictures, but the Cherry Cobbler base layer on the card is embossed with the cute Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder from the Sept-Dec Mini, too. I do all of the embossing for the card club kits, along with all of the die-cutting that is done with dies that are NOT part of the featured bundle. I did have an exception with this card, though. The tag was die-cut with one of the Merriest Trees Dies, but I'm going to go ahead and die-cut these tags for the club kits, too. The tag is what makes this card layout work.
The "Noel" stamp in the stamp set in this bundle stamps just like it's shown on the inside of my card above. The die that coordinates with this stamp lines up perfectly with the stamped version of the stamp. You can see what I mean by watching my video above. If you die-cut the letters out, you don't have to keep them in the square layout. You can put them down onto your project anyway you want to like I did on the front of my card.
