The Rustic Crate Bundle is another bundle from the Holiday Mini that can be used for more than just one season/holiday. There are four image stamps and some greeting stamps in this set. One of the image stamps is a crate, and then there's an image stamp for each of the following...anytime of the year, Christmas, & Fall. As you can see, the first card I made for this class is using the Fall image stamp. I love sunflowers & pumpkins, so I particularly like this image. The next two cards in the class will be using the other images mentioned above.
There are three different crates in this bundle, too. The one I used here is a nice embossed one made with some of the dies in the die-set of the bundle. To make it look a little worn, I added Copper Clay ink across the embossed areas with a Blending Brush. There is crate die that makes a little 3D-like crate, and there's also a stamped crate, which will be on tomorrow's card
As usual, I'm using one Designer Series Paper (DSP) on all three of the class cards. It's the VERY popular All About Autumn DSP. I was even able to use it on the Christmas card I made for the class (the last card). I say this DSP is very popular because it has sold-out a few times since it came out in September! Thankfully, Stampin' Up! is expecting another shipment sometime next week! Don't worry...I have enough for the card kits for this class.
I always pick out an embellishment for my Card Class @ Homes, and I did here, too. This time, however, the embellishment is a full roll of ribbon! I've used ribbon in these classes before, but it's never been the featured embellishment for the class. All three cards feature the wonderful Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon, also from the same Holiday Mini. I love the larger check in this one, along with the Very Vanilla instead of white. It's so pretty! The Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon is NOT included in the card kits, but you can get it added FREE...
If You Place a $50 Order (before shipping & tax), Using Host Code XMH6XSC2, by October 18th, You'll Get a Full Pack of the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon Added to Your Card Kits for FREE!
For the inside of the card, I stamped the same Fall image from the front of the card, but I stamped it in Copper Clay ink instead. The image on the front of the card was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento, and then colored in with a Blender Pen and ink pads. You can see how I colored them in the video above.
I have a list of supplies you'll need to make the cards in the class (ink pads, adhesive, etc), and you can see it by CLICKING HERE. You can substitute with products you have on hand, too. You can see what comes in the class's card kits in the video above.
Come Back Tomorrow for the Second Card of the Class
