It's time for another 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2023 project! This week's project once again features the cute Pick of the Patch Bundle from the new September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini).

This week's project is a great way to dress-up a licorice stick...make it into a witch's broom! I thought one of the pumpkins from the Pick of the Patch Bundle would be a perfect addition to my witch's broom, and I think I was right. It makes it so cute!
I put the licorice in a 1" x 8" cellophane bag I bought on Amazon. This will keep the licorice safe & clean.
The added "Happy Halloween" oval was stamped with one of the stamps in the bundle, and it fits perfectly in the oval of the Double Oval Punch from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. The twine I used to finish off the top of the broom bristles, and tie on the greeting, is a piece of Basic Black twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, which is also in the annual catalog.
The broom bristles were made with a piece of patterned paper from the Them Bones Designer Series Paper (DSP). It could also be made with a piece of cardstock. If using cardstock, an 11" length will work instead of the 12" length listed below.
Dimensions (CS=Cardstock):
- Them Bones DSP: 12" x 2-1/2"
- With a 2-1/2" side along the top, score @ 1"
- Basic White CS: 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" (pumpkin & greeting oval)
- Pumpkin Pie CS: 3" x 1-1/2" (scallop oval)
- Pecan Pie CS: scrap piece (stem)
- Baker's Twine Essentials Pack: 12" (Basic Black twine)
Also Need a 1" x 8" Cellophane Bag
