The Silly Old Bear Suite from the Online Exclusives is such a sweet collection, and it brings all of those cozy, storybook feelings right to your craft table. This suite includes images inspired by the original Winnie the Pooh books, and it has such a warm, old-fashioned charm. The suite includes the Sweet Old Friends Bundle, Sweet Words & Labels Bundle, Hundred Acre Woods 3D Embossing Folder, and Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper (DSP). In the video below, I’ll show you everything included in the suite, and then I’ll show you how to make this sweet friendship card using all of the products from the suite.

The Sweet Old Friends Bundle is full of adorable image stamps (which I used on the inside of the card) that are perfect for creating soft, storybook-style scenes. This bundle has image stamps only, so it works beautifully with the coordinating Sweet Words & Labels Bundle for greetings. The dies in the Sweet Old Friends Bundle cut out the stamped images, and they also include a few stand-alone dies.
The Sweet Words & Labels Bundle includes sentiments, including the sentiment I used on the front, along with two label stamps and 12 label dies. Some of the label dies layer together perfectly, and the die set also includes a few leaf and acorn dies. I used one of the label dies for the sentiment, and it fits the “Old friends are the best friends” greeting so nicely. I used one of the other label dies to die-cut the main image.
The Silly Old Bear DSP is a 12" x 12" paper pack with six double-sided designs. You get two sheets of each design, for a total of 12 sheets. This paper is full of sweet images, soft patterns, and storybook-style scenes that make papercrafting easy. One of the designs has images that can be cut out with some of the dies from the Sweet Old Friends Bundle. Another design has scenes that can be cut out with some of the label dies from the Sweet Words & Labels Bundle (which I used on this card), and there’s also a design with scenes that can be cut out with a Paper Trimmer or shape dies.
On this card, I used the DSP in several ways. The main image was die-cut from one of the scene papers, the hunny pot on the greeting label was die-cut from another DSP design, and the strip on the left shows off another pattern in the pack. Quick and cute? That is my favorite crafting combo.
The Hundred Acre Woods 3D Embossing Folder is a large 6" x 8-1/2" embossing folder, and it has a map of the Hundred Acre Woods design. I used it on the Golden Glow banner behind the main image to add soft texture without taking attention away from the sweet focal point. The Golden Glow Bordered Ribbon adds a pretty finishing touch and brings the Golden Glow color through the whole card.
I also added a fun distressed plaid background to this card. I embossed a piece of Early Espresso Two-Tone Cardstock with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, and then lightly rubbed a sanding block over the raised plaid design. Since the Two-Tone Cardstock has a white core, the sanding brings out the white and makes the plaid pattern stand out beautifully. It gives the card a worn, cozy look that works so well with the old storybook feel of the Silly Old Bear Suite.
The inside of the card is simple, but it still carries the theme from the front. I kept most of the inside open so there is plenty of room to write a message. In the lower right corner, I stamped a sweet image of the two old friends, Pooh & Piglet, walking together. It adds just the right touch without making the inside feel too busy. I love when the inside of a card feels like a little surprise when it’s opened, and this one does that in such a gentle way.
I also have a project sheet for this card. The project sheet includes the paper sizes, pictures, and the full supply list for the card. You can use it to follow along while you watch the video, or you can get your supplies together ahead of time and stamp along with me. It’s always easier when the cutting is done first, because then you can just enjoy the fun part. No ruler panic needed.
