Day 9 – Mini Memories & More Card - 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar

Welcome to Day 9 of my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series. Today’s card has a soft, heartfelt feel and shows how easy it can be to create a layered design using coordinating pieces that do most of the work for you. This is the kind of card that works beautifully for sympathy, thinking of you, or simply letting someone know they’re always in your heart.

In today’s video, I walk you through how this card comes together step by step. I share tips for layering, placement, and how to mix pre-designed elements with stamped details so the finished card still feels handmade and personal. If you enjoy projects that look detailed but don’t require a lot of complicated steps, this one is for you.

The base of this card features soft pink colors and texture to keep everything light and elegant. Layering a Crushed Curry mat behind the main images help them not blend into the embossed layer of the card. I love how the subtle details guide your eye toward the center of the card, too.

The featured product for Day 9 is a Mini Memories & More Cards & Ephemera Pack. These packs include 4" x 6" double-sided cards along with coordinating image die-cuts. Everything is designed to work together and coordinate with the other products in the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar and stamp set. Using these pieces makes it easy to add dimension, focal points, and embellishments without needing extra tools or time.

Inside the card, the design stays simple and clean with just a couple of stamped butterflies tucked into opposite corners. This leaves plenty of open space for a handwritten message while still tying the inside of the card back to the front design.

I’ve included a full project sheet for today’s card. It includes all of the measurements, photos of the outside and inside of the card, and a complete supply list so you can easily recreate this project at home.
