Welcome to Day 7 of my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series. Today’s card is bright, cheerful, and full of fun details that come together beautifully with a clean and simple layout. The colors and patterned paper really shine on this design, making it a great card for many different occasions.
I shared the full card tutorial in today’s video, where you can see exactly how this card comes together step by step. In the video, I walk through the die cutting, layering, and assembly so you can easily recreate this card or adapt the layout for your own projects. I also reveal the Day 7 product!

The featured product for Day 7 is a postage-shaped die set, and it is such a versatile addition to your craft room. These dies are perfect for framing stamped images, creating grid-style designs, or adding a playful, stitched look to your cards. On today’s card, the postage shapes help create structure while still keeping the design light and fun.
For the front of the card, I used the postage-shaped dies to create four framed panels that hold the stamped images. Layering the white rainbow pieces onto colored cardstock, which were made with a die from the Day 1 Advent Calendar product, adds contrast and helps each element stand out. A strip of the Advent Calendar Designer Series Paper (DSP) along the bottom ties everything together and adds just the right amount of interest.
I attached some Rinestone Basic Jewels to the card to add a little bling. I use these rhinestones on a few of the cards in my Advent Calendar series, but they don't come in the Advent Calendar. No worries, though. This rhinestone pack is my first Thank You Gift, and you can get them free!
The inside of the card keeps things simple and clean. I added a strip of the same DSP as the front along the bottom and left the rest open, giving plenty of room to write a personal message. This balance between the decorated front and the open inside makes the card both pretty and practical.
If you’d like to make this card yourself, I’ve included a full project sheet on my blog. The project sheet includes all the paper measurements, photos of the outside and inside of the card, and a complete supply list to make crafting easy.
