Welcome to Day 8 of my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series. Today’s card has such a soft, calm feel and is one of those designs that looks detailed but is actually very relaxing to put together. The combination of layered panels, florals, and a simple finishing touch makes this card perfect for sharing love and encouragement.
In today’s video tutorial, I show you exactly how this card comes together step by step. You’ll see how I cut the Designer Series Paper (DSP), assembled the layers, added the stamped elements, and finished the card. This is a great project to follow along with whether you’re crafting in real time or watching later.

The base of this card starts with a classic layered layout that gives you plenty of space to showcase the Advent Calendar DSP from Day 2. The floral images add texture, while the mix of panels keeps the design interesting without feeling busy. This layout is also very easy to adapt for other occasions by swapping colors or sentiments.
The focal point of the card brings everything together with layered flowers and leaves that add just the right amount of dimension. I love how the sentiment fits neatly into the design without overpowering the flowers. This balance makes the card feel thoughtful and polished, while still being very easy to make.
The featured product for Day 8 of the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar is the Striped Baker’s Twine. This set includes one spool of Flirty Flamingo and White Baker’s Twine and one spool of Misty Moonlight and White Baker’s Twine. It’s one of those basic crafting supplies that instantly adds texture and softness to a card. I used the Flirty Flamingo Baker's Twine to make a double bow and added it to the bottom of the largest flower to make the card feel complete.
Inside the card, I kept the design clean and simple with stamped florals in the corner. This leaves plenty of open space for your handwritten message while still tying the inside of the card to the front design.
You can find the full project sheet for today’s card on my blog. The project sheet includes all the measurements, photos of the outside and inside of the card, and a complete supply list to make crafting easy and stress-free.
