Day 1: Bright Floral Birthday Card for My First 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar
Welcome to Day 1 of my 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar Series. I’ve been looking forward to launching this new series, and I’m thrilled you’re here for the beginning of it. Each day for the next twelve days, I’ll be sharing a brand-new project that coordinates with the surprise inside that day’s door of the Advent Calendar. Since this is our kickoff day, it feels extra special—today’s project features the Day 1 product.

To celebrate the start of this series, I wanted a card that feels joyful and full of energy. This bright floral birthday card fits the bill perfectly. The bold blend of Flirty Flamingo and Misty Moonlight flowers creates a lively focal point, while the Old Olive leaves bring in a fresh pop of green. Everything sits atop a beautifully textured background created with the Beautiful Patterns 3D Embossing Folder from the Online Exclusives. Its soft, quilt-like design adds elegance without taking attention away from the florals.
For the sentiment, I used “Birthday Wishes” stamped in Secret Sea. That cool blue tone ties beautifully into the Misty Moonlight flowers and gives the finished card a crisp, polished feel. A few rhinestones add a touch of brightness and sparkle, just enough to enhance the design while keeping the overall look clean.

I stamped a Flirty Flamingo onto the inside of the card, too, along with some stamped Old Olive leaves. I love the watercolor look of these images!
