Now For My Second Yuletide Village CC@H Card:
My favorite stamp in this stamp set is the church. Isn't it beautiful? I colored it in with the Bronze & Ivory Stampin' Blends. If you don't have this Blends set, make sure to order it by 11:59 pm (MT) TONIGHT. When you do, you'll save 10%! The other Stampin' Blends I used on this card are Cherry Cobbler, Gray Granite, & Mossy Meadow. These are on sale, too, because ALL Stampin' Blends are on sale @ 10% off...including the Stampin' Up! ink pads!
Since the Yuletide Village Stamp Set doesn't have any sentiments, I used the Christmas Labels Bundle to add one. The die-cut label was made with one of the dies in the bundle, too. When I added it to the bottom of the circle, I loved what it did. It made it look like a snow globe! 😍
Like on the FIRST CARD, I used the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the Basic White base layer. We've had other "snow" embossing folders before, but I think this one is my favorite. It's not just dots for the snow, there are snowflakes in it, too. I also like how the folder starts with a lot of snow falling and tapers down to light snow. It's so pretty!
When I originally made this card, I was only going to stamp the Pool Party "snow" around the church, but I thought the circle blended into the embossed Basic White layer too much. When I brushed Pool Party ink around the sky with a Blending Brush, it made all the difference in the world! If you notice, the Pool Party ink is darker along the outer part of the circle and then lighter the closer it gets to the church. It kinda makes a glow around the church...I love it!
If you look VERY closely, you can see that the snow on the roof, ground, & trees shimmer. I wish I could catch how shimmery it looks in person in the pictures, because it's so pretty! I got the effect by using the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. If you don't have it, make sure to check out my Thank You Gifts above...you can get it FREE!
I also added some shimmer with the Iridescent Foil Gems from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. I NOW INCLUDE THE EMBELLISHMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE TWO OF EACH CC@H CARD IN THE CARD KITS. These card kits are the first Thank You Gift you can earn in November.
I didn't have to add another layer to the inside of the card, since it's already white. I stamped the church on the bottom, right corner using Pecan Pie ink. I didn't want to color it in with the Stampin' Blends, because the alcohol ink would bleed through the cardstock.
