Dashing Along Designer Series Paper Week - Cookie-Cutter Christmas

Today is the last day for my Dashing Along Designer Series Paper Week. I'm sure I'll still use it this month, but this is the last day of week for this theme. My theme for next week will be Halloween projects.

This card features the last design of this wonderful Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). If you click the link above, you'll see the other designs in the DSP. I thought the striped version I used today would look perfect with the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalog. The greeting I used comes from the Takeout Treats Stamp Set in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

Dimensions:
  • Crumb Cake:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base)
  • Cherry Cobbler:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer)
  • Whisper White:  1-1/2" x 4-1/2" (banner) and 3" x 2-1/2" (Santa)
  • Dashing Along Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 2"
  • 5/8" Striped Burlap Trim:  4"
  • All is Bright Paper Clips:  (1) tree clip
Instructions:
  1. Emboss the Cherry Cobbler piece by running it though the Big Shot with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the DSP piece to the bottom of the piece. Attach the tree clip from the All is Bright Paper Clips to the right side of the Striped Burlap Trim. Put Tear & Tape Adhesive across the back of the trim. Remove the paper-backing, and attach it across the top of the DSP piece.
  2. Stamp the Santa stamp from the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set onto one side of the Whisper White Santa piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Color the areas of his hat and suit that should be darker with the Dark Cherry Cobbler marker from the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Then, color his hat and suit with the Light Cherry Cobbler marker, coloring over the dark shade, too, to blend. Color the areas of his boots, belt and gloves that should be darker with the Dark Basic Black marker from the Basic Black Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Then, color his boots, belt, and gloves with the Light Basic Black marker, coloring over the dark shade, too, to blend. Color the belt buckle with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Marker. Color his face with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker. Punch Santa out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. Stamp the cotton ball stamp onto the scraps leftover from the Whisper White Santa piece using the Memento Pad. Punch it out with one of the circles in the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. Attach the cotton ball to the top of Santa's hat with a Mini Glue Dot.
  3. Punch the bottom edge of the Whisper White banner piece by inserting it all the way into the Banner Triple Punch, and punching. Stamp the "some Christmas..." stamp from the Takeout Treats Stamp Set onto the bottom of the banner using the Memento Pad. Attach Santa to the top of the banner, and then attach the banner to the left side of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
