12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2023 - Week #4

It's time for another 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2023 project! I'm so sorry I didn't post one last week. I was coming down with a fun stomach bug, and I didn't feel up to doing it. This week's project features the cute Pick of the Patch Bundle from the new September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini).

I'll Post a New 12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween Project
Every Friday Through November 17th!

What I love the most about the Pick of the Patch Bundle is that it can be used for both Halloween & Fall projects. Use the plain pumpkins for Fall projects and add the Jack 'o Lantern face to a pumpkin for Halloween projects. The punch in the bundle makes it to easy to punch out two of the pumpkins in the bundle's stamp set, along with one of the leaves & the stem.

The pouch features the best Halloween Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stampin' Up! has had for awhile...Them Bones DSP. If you look at the top picture in this post, you'll see that I used two different designs for the pouch base on the two I've made so far. These are so cute, and they're quick & easy to make, too.

The sides are very narrow on this pouch, but they're just right for a Fun Size Bag of Reese's Pieces...actually any Fun Size Bag of candy...like M&Ms. I made a belly band to keep the pouch closed. To open it, you just slide the belly band off.

I'm SO HAPPY to announce that the Deckled Circles Dies are back in stock! I can't believe all of the circle dies that are in this die-set, and I absolutely love the deckled edges of the circles. They look perfect for my belly band. You can see how many circles are in this die-set in my video above.

When you make these pouches, and use a design that needs to be going the right direction, there will be one side that will be upside down. To make sure everything is going the right way on the front of the pouch, start scoring on the bottom edge of the DSP piece. As you can see, the bats are upside down on the back of my pouch, but they are upright on the front. If the design you use doesn't have a right or wrong way, then it doesn't matter which end you start scoring from.

Dimensions (CS = Cardstock):
  • Basic White CS:  2-1/2" x 1-1/2" (pumpkin)
    • 2-1/2" x 3/4" (leaf & stem)
    • 2" x 3/4" (greeting)
  • Cajun Craze CS:  2-1/2" x 2-1/2" (larger circle - #4 die*)
  • Them Bones DSP:  4" x 8" (pouch)
    • With a 4" side along the top, score both ends at 1/4"
    • With an 8" side along the top, and starting at the bottom end of the piece, score at 1-1/2", 1-3/4", 4-3/4", & 5"
  • Them Bones DSP:  1" x 8" (belly band)
    • 2" x 2" (circle - #3 die*)
*With the #1 die being the smallest
