What makes the So Very Merry Stamp Set so special is that all of the images have a stained glass look. I chose the Santa stamp for today's card. Isn't he cool? I colored him in with Stampin' Blends. Stampin' Blends come in a 2 pack. The blends that are actual Stampin' Up colors include a light & dark version of the color they are. I used the two different shades in each set to go along with the stained glass theme - Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, & Daffodil Delight. His face was colored in with the Ivory marker from the Bronze & Ivory Stampin' Blends.
I stamped a holly branch from the set around the perimeter of the Real Red card base using Real Red ink. I forgot this step in the class video above, but that's okay. I think it looks good both ways.
The Santa stained glass image was punched out with the 2-3/8" Circle Punch from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. This punch is perfect for this stamp and the angel stamp in the set. I like the white border the punch made around the circle image, too.
I usually pick out one DSP pack for all three of my class cards, but this time, I used a different one for the first card. I did use one DSP pack on the other two. I wanted a traditional Christmas red & green color combo for my Santa card. We don't have any traditional Christmas DSP right now (that will change soon), so I chose the Regals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used Real Red & Shaded Spruce sheets from the pack.
As with all of my Card Class @ Homes, I picked out one embellishment for all three cards, and I chose the Festive Pearls from the Annual Catalog for this class. These pearls are perfect for Christmas projects. The pearls are all small ones, and there are four different colors...Cherry Cobbler, light green, silver & gold. On today's card, I put three Cherry Cobbler pearls around the greeting. The Festive Pearls are NOT included in the card kits, but you can get them added FREE...
