The star of the Horse & Sleigh Bundle is the large, and gorgeous, horse & sleigh. It may be the star of the show, but there are ways to use the set WITHOUT the horse & sleigh. Today's card shows just that. I used the large tree stamp in the set, and I love how it looks when it's colored with Stampin' Blends.
I didn't use the horse & sleigh stamp & die on the last card of the class, either, and you'll see it on Wednesday. Don't worry...you'll see the horse & sleigh tomorrow!
For those of you that don't know about Stampin' Up!'s bundles, bundles include a stamp set and a coordiating die-set or punch. This bundle includes the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set & Horse & Sleigh Dies. When you purchase a bundle, you save 10% off the price of purchasing the two products separately.
I absolutely LOVE the rustic look to this card. I used the Deckled Rectangles Dies to make the Crumb Cake layer for the trees. The deckled border around the rectangle is perfect for rustic-looking cards. Adding Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the piece with a Blending Brush adds even more to the look. If you order to get the card kits free, I'll die-cut these deckled rectangles for you.
Yes, I chose one Designer Series Paper (DSP) for my Card Class @ Home cards, as usual. This time, I'm using the coordinating One Horse Open Sleigh DSP. This DSP pack is a MUST-HAVE! There are 12 different 6" x 6", double-sided designs in the pack, and there are 4 each design. One side has a beautiful winter scene, and the other side has patterns. You can see all of the designs in my video above. I used two different designs from the patterned sides on today's card.

I could have also called this card class "One Horse Open Sleigh Card Class @ Home" because I'm using all three products in the One Horse Open Sleigh Suite. For each of my Card Class @ Homes, I pick out one embellishment for all three cards, and I chose the Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes Assortment from the suite. There are gold, white, & copper snowflakes in this assortment, and there are three sizes in each color. This time, I used one each size of the gold snowflakes. I stamped the large tree to the inside, but as you can see, I stamped part of it off of the cardstock. Instead of coloring it with Stampin' Blends, I put Crumb Cake ink around it, using a Blending Brush.
