My final project from the Pine Tree Trimmings Card Class @ Home shows off a fun and creative twist — a patchwork Christmas tree!

For this card, I used small strips of patterned paper from the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) to decorate the tree. I glued the DSP strips onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then die-cut a tree out of it using one of the tree dies in the bundle. It's a great way to create a charming quilted effect that’s full of personality.
The background is divided into two sections for added interest — one side features a subtle embossed “holiday words” panel made with the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder, and the other side is stamped in a playful Christmas ornaments pattern. Together, they balance the bright colors of the tree perfectly.
A stitched label sentiment stamped in Real Red ties the look together, and a bold die-cut bow adds the finishing touch. I also sprinkled a few glittery Pool Party embellishments from the Traditional Sparkling Sequins for extra sparkle.
To coordinate the inside of the card with the outside, I stamped the Christmas ornaments stamp across the bottom of the inside layer using Pool Party ink.
