Today's card is a Gatefold Card. It's a super easy fun fold card to make, and you can learn how to make it in my video above. If you want to skip directly to this card, you can go directly to the "Make the Gatefold Card" chapter.
I used a new embossing folder on the FIRST CARD in the class, and I've used another new embossing folder on this one. It's called the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder. As you can see, this embossing folder is PERFECT for the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I love how the embossing design frames around circle die-cut. I haven't tried using it with our other circle dies, but I bet they would work well with this embossing folder, too.
Once again, I used the beautiful Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is one of my favorite designs in the pack. The colors and flowers are SO gorgeous! I like the Crumb Cake-like background, too...it really makes the other colors pop!
The Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that I chose to use for this class's cards really is perfect with the DSP. These gems come in three colors...Berry Burst, Gorgeous Grape, and Highland Heather...and each color comes in two sizes. Since I featured Highland Heather the most on this card, I decided to use the Highland Heather gems this time. The Purple Fine Shimmer Gems are NOT included in the card kits, but you can get them added FREE...
