Short & Sweet Saturday - Dandelion Wishes

I hope you're all having a wonderful Saturday. It's a pretty hot one here, but it's been a good day. Well, it's time for another Short & Sweet Saturday card. Today, I used one of my favorites, Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set. I love this stamp set, and as you can see, it can make quick, easy, and beautiful cards!

I decided to to a monochromatic card (one color), and I chose Night of Navy. I hadn't used the Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon for awhile, and that's why I chose this color. I LOVE this ribbon! I've always like gingham ribbon, and I really like the width of this one. It's perfect!

Dimensions:

  • Night of Navy:  8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (card base) & 3" x 3-1/2" (flower mat)
  • Whisper White:  4" x 5-1/4" (embossed layer), 2-3/4" x 3-1/4" (flower layer), & 3-1/4" x 1-1/4" (greeting)
  • Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP):  4" x 1-1/2"
  • Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon:  6" & 5"

Instructions:

  1. Emboss the largest Whisper White piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Climbing Vine Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Attach the DSP piece across the bottom of the piece. Wrap the 6" piece of ribbon around the top of the DSP, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the embossed piece. Fold the largest Night of Navy piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed piece to the center of the card front.
  2. Stamp the "I made a wish..." stamp from the Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set onto the center of the Whisper White greeting piece using the Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad. Die-cut the image out with the second, largest label die in the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies. Attach it to the bottom, right corner of the DSP layer on the card.
  3. Stamp the dandelion-trio stamp onto the center of the Whisper White flower layer using the Night of Navy ink pad. Using a Sponge Dauber, sponge the middle of each dandelion with ink from the Night of Navy ink pad. Sponge lightly around the image with the same ink pad. Attach the flower layer to the center of the Night of Navy flower mat piece. Attach the piece to the upper-left of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Tie the 5" piece of ribbon onto the right side of the attached ribbon, using a single-knot. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle.

Use SNAIL Adhesive when attaching, unless stated otherwise.
