Welcome to the RemARKably Creative Blog Hop - All That's New! There are so many GREAT new products in this catalog, so you should have a lot of fun hopping to all of our blogs. You'll get to see a lot of these great new products in action.
I needed to make a graduation card for a special young lady yesterday, and decided to share it with you in this blog hop. I used the new Host-Exclusive stamp set, Hand Delivered. This stamp set is so much fun. There are some super cute things for this lady to deliver. I used the school books, but there is also a big bouquet of balloons, a cake, and a sign. There's even a stamp to give her a striped skirt instead of the floral one I used.
This is a host exclusive set, so the only way you can get it is by either hosting a workshop (virtual/Facebook, catalog, in-home), or by placing at least a $150 order (before shipping & tax) yourself. If you would like more information, please contact me. You can comment below, or email me at christyfulk@createwithchristy.com.
The other new products I used was the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, Climbing Vine Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and Glitter Enamel Dots. You can get the Glitter Enamel Dots FREE from me this month with a qualifying order using this month's host code. CLICK HERE to find out how. I also used some new colors....Mango Melody, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, and Lovely Lipstick.
Dimensions:
- Melon Mambo: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
- Powder Pink: 4" x 5-1/4"
- Basic Black: 3" x 4-1/4"
- Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP): 2-7/8" x 4-1/8"
- Whisper White: 3" x 2-1/2" (images) & 4" x 5-1/4" (inside)
- Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon: (2) 5"
Instructions:
- Emboss the Powder Pink piece by running it through the Big Shot with the Climbing Vine Textured Impression Embossing Folder. Fold the Melon Mambo piece in half (fold on the left) to form the card base. Attach the embossed piece to the center of the card front.
- Stamp the "Congratulations" and "To the Graduate" stamps from the Hand Delivered Stamp Set onto the top left corner of the DSP piece using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Attach the DSP piece to the center of the Basic Black piece.
- With a piece of paper towel over the ribbon (to keep fingers clean), press the ribbon into the Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad to dye it. Do it to both pieces. Wrap one of the pieces around the bottom of the DSP piece, and attach the ribbon ends to the back of the Basic Black piece. Attach the DSP/Basic Black piece to the center of the card. Tie the other ribbon piece onto the left side of the attached ribbon using a single knot. Trim the ribbon ends at an angle.
- Stamp the skirt/legs stamp onto the smaller Whisper White piece using the Memento Pad. Stamp the floral skirt stamp into the skirt outline with the same ink pad. Stamp the book stack stamp onto the same piece using the same ink pad. Color the legs and hands in with the Ivory Stampin' Blends Marker. Using a Blender Pen, watercolor everything else using the following Classic Stampin' Pads: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pacific Point, Powder Pink (base of skirt), Shaded Spruce, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, & Lovely Lipstick (apple). Fussy-cut the images out with Paper Snips. Attach the skirt/legs, and then the books on top of it, using Stampin' Dimensionals (see picture for placement). Put a small Melon Mambo enamel dot from the Glitter Enamel Dots to the center of the skirt's waist band.
- Inside of Card: Stamp the small floral stamp onto each corner of the largest Whisper White piece using the Memento Pad. Using a Blender Pen, watercolor them in with the Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Mango Melody, & Shaded Spruce ink pads. Stamp the "Congratulations" stamp onto the piece using the same ink pad (see picture for placement). Attach the piece to the inside of the card.
When attaching, use SNAIL Adhesive, unless stated otherwise.
