If you love bold texture, metallic accents, and strong graphic layouts, you’re going to love this final project from my Gears & Textures Card Class @ Home (CC@H). This class features the Gears & Textures Bundle from the January–April 2026 Mini Catalog, and today I’m sharing the third card in the series — a striking “Hello” design with layered stamping and eye-catching die-cut gears.

In the video, I walk through how I layered the stamped elements, added dimension with the die cuts, and balanced the bold vertical and horizontal lines in the layout. Seeing the steps makes it so much easier to recreate.

This card features a softer embossed, blue base layer paired with strong stamped details and card base in darker tones. The bold “hello” sentiment stands out beautifully against the layered background. I used dies from the Gears & Textures Bundle to make the metallic die-cut gears, chains, and "metal" strips. I even layered a couple of the gears behind the sentiment to create a strong focal point and give the card that industrial edge that ties the whole class together.
For the Designer Series Paper, I used Nature Walk DSP on this card. The subtle pattern and Secret Sea color complement the embossed brick background perfectly. It adds just enough visual interest while still letting the gears and sentiment take center stage. I love how the DSP anchors the design and brings warmth to the cooler blue tones.
The featured embellishment for this class is the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems. On this card, the soft gold gems echo the shine of the metallic gears and add small pops of sparkle in just the right places. I put one in the center of the two gold gears, and then added another one onto the DSP to brighten it up a bit. The card kits for this class include enough of these embellishments to make the cards, so you’ll have everything you need for that polished finish.
The inside of this card continues the theme with coordinating stamped gears and texture in the corner. I always like to carry at least one design element to the inside so the card feels complete from front to back. There’s still plenty of space to write your message, but it doesn’t feel plain.
