If you missed my recent Live, you can now watch the replay below! I shared how to make this simple easel card featuring the beautiful Autumn Toile Suite from Stampin’ Up! This suite has quickly become one of my favorites for fall, and this project really shows off how well all of the elements work together.

For this card, I used both the Amber Autumn Bundle and the Autumn Trees Bundle from the suite. These two bundles coordinate perfectly—the tree from Autumn Trees creates a stunning backdrop, while the deer silhouette adds a soft, peaceful focal point. Together, they make a charming woodland scene that captures the warmth and coziness of the season. The Amber Autumn Bundle finishes it off with some perfect sentiments.
The background layer features the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper (DSP). The soft patterns and natural colors in this DSP are perfect for fall cards. I chose a design that added just enough detail without taking away from the focal image. To add a touch of elegance, I included the Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper for the bottom layer of leaves for a subtle shimmer. It catches the light beautifully and complements the rich, earthy tones throughout the card.
Easel cards are one of my go-to fun folds because they’re easy to make yet look so impressive when displayed. This one folds flat for mailing but opens to stand up on its own, making it a lovely piece for a mantel or desk. The “Grateful for You” sentiment on the front pairs perfectly with the inside sentiment, “Blessed to have you in my life.” Together, they make this card ideal for sending a heartfelt note of appreciation to someone special.
During the Live, I walked through each step of making this easel card, including the measurements, die-cutting tips, and how to layer the tree for a realistic multicolor effect. The technique for adding depth to the leaves really brings the card to life.
