On the FIRST CARD for the class, I made the sled, along with the ice skates, with the die-set in the bundle, but this time, I made the sled with the stamp set & die-cut it out. I also added a beautiful Christmas swag and cardinal to finish it off. This bundle is SO pretty!
I have a sneak peek of a new embossing folder for you. I embossed the Pecan Pie cardstock on the right side of the card with the upcoming Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. This embossing folder will be in the upcoming September-December Mini Catalog. I was able to get it early, along with the other products in the suite it's in, for attending the demo-only Creativity Now online event Stampin' Up! did for us. The birch wood-look is perfect for the sled. I also used the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder on the Basic White base layer. This embossing folder is available now. Don't worry. If you earn my free card kits for this class, I'll do the embossing for both for you.
As you can see, I didn't use any Designer Series Paper this time. I wanted to make a more traditional red & green Christmas card this time. I really like this color combo, too...Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce, & Pecan Pie. Another color combo I need to remember to use again.
I added one of my favorite ribbons, Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon, along the left side of the Pecan Pie layer. You can find this ribbon in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog and the Online Store.
As with all of the cards in this class, I used the Faceted Gems Trio Pack. This is the embellishment pack I'm featuring this time, and the gems come in clear, Smoky Slate, & Lost Lagoon. I just had to stamp the pretty Christmas swag onto the inside layer. As you can see, I colored it just like I did for the swag on the outside of the card.
