The cards in this week's Card Class @ Home teach three different ways to color the roses in the Stippled Roses Bundle...other than the usual watercoloring & using Stampin' Blends. On the FIRST CARD, I just stamped the roses in a color ink. Today's card is using the Burnishing Technique. It's when you color the images in with Sponge Daubers.
You Can Learn the Burnishing Technique in the Video Above
You Can Find it in the "Make the Second Card" Chapter
I used the gorgeous Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. This embossing folder was in the last holiday mini, but it is still available to purchase in my online store. You can find a link to it in the supply list below.
Once again, I used the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (DSP). I love the design I used on this card. It goes perfectly with the roses and the burnished technique I used.
You Can Get This DSP FREE With a $50 Order (Before Shipping & Tax)
You Can Buy the Stippled Roses Bundle ($54), and Pick This Beautiful DSP to Go With It!
Don't Forget to Use Host Code PRGYZQUR When You OrderSo You Can Get My Card Kits & Embellishments Free, Too!
The greeting was die-cut with the new Everyday Details Dies from the Jan-April 2024 Mini, too. I love the hole borders these dies have. So cool!
Don't miss those beautiful flowers and leaves on the top, right of the roses. These were made with some of the stand-alone dies in the Stippled Roses Dies in the bundle. Aren't they gorgeous?
For this class, I'm featuring a new embellishment from Sale-A-Bration called Opaque Faceted Gems. These gems coordinate perfectly with the Softly Stippled DSP. The gems come in three colors with two different sizes in each color. I used 2 each size of the Calypso Coral Gems on this card. The Opaque Faceted Gems are NOT included in the card kits, but you can get them added FREE...
If You Place a $50 Order (before shipping & tax), Using Host Code PRGYZQUR, by January 24th, You'll Get a Full Pack of the Opaque Faceted Gems Added to Your Card Kits for FREE!
YOU'LL ALSO GET TO PICK OUT A FREE SALE-A-BRATION ITEM!
With the Gems, You'll Get TWO Sale-A-Bration Items!
I stamped the single rose stamp onto the bottom, right corner of the inside layer with Pebbled Path ink, and colored it in using the Burnishing Technique...the same as the outside of the card.
I have a list of supplies you'll need to make the cards in the class (ink pads, adhesive, etc), and you can see it by CLICKING HERE. You can substitute with products you have on hand, too. You can see what comes in the class's card kits in the video above.
Come Back Tomorrow for the Last Card of the Class
