Of the three cards I've made for this class, this one is my favorite (with the first card a very close second). I just LOVE this bird! It's the main reason I wanted to get this stamp set in the first place. This is actually the first card I made when I was getting ready for this class (it's the last card I made in the video above). I tried so many different ways to color the bird in...with Stampin' Blends, putting different colors onto the actual stamp with Stampin' Write makers and then with sponge daubers and ink pads. When I finally tried stamping it with Jet Black Stazon ink, and water coloring it with ink refills & a Water Painter, I knew this was the way I liked coloring it the best. It colors the images in so nicely, and you can still see the wonderful detail in the stamped image.
I used ALL seven stamps in the Inspirational Sketches set. I used the flowers image & thank you sentiment stamps on the FIRST CARD, and I used the mushrooms image and the "enjoy the journey" sentiment stamps on the SECOND CARD. That left me with three stamps I hadn't used, and I used all three on this card. I used the bird image and the grateful sentiment stamps on the outside of the card, and I used the last one on the inside (see below).

Here's where I used the last stamp in the stamp set. I stamped it across the bottom of the inside layer a few times until I got completely across it. I haven't tried, but I bet this stamp could be used to make a bird's nest, too.
