I've already taught my Monthly Online Card Club members how to make a fractured card, and I used the normal 1/4" wide strips on that card. On this one, I used 1/2" wide strips instead. I wanted to emboss the strips, and making them wider made the embossing show better. I embossed them with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder from the Stampin' Up! September-December 2023 Mini Catalog (Holiday Mini). Making the strips wider & embossing them isn't the twist, though.
The twist is using the two different Designer Series Paper (DSP) designs. I'm actually using two different DSP packs. The tree design is from the Winter Meadow DSP, and the snowflake foil design is from the Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP. Like I said above, fractured cards are so easy to make, and adding the twist is easy to do, too.
I used ALL of the products in the Winter Meadow Suite in the Holiday Mini on this card. First, the two DSP packs listed above are in the suite. The bundle I used to stamp the greeting and stamp & die-cut the foliage is called the Magical Meadow Bundle. The gems and the ribbon are the last two things in this beautiful suite, and they are the Faceted Gems Trio Pack and Silver & White Sheer Ribbon. The glimmer & shine of this suite is what makes it so gorgeous!
I stamped this beautiful pine tree scene stamp from the bundle onto the bottom, left corner of the inside of the card using Lost Lagoon ink. This stamp coordinates so well with the tree design on the front of the card. I really LOVE how Stampin' Up!'s coordinates products!
Speaking of coordination, I also made a coordinating gift tag to go along with my card. The top of the tag was made with the Elegant Edge Tag Topper Punch.
