Wednesday, May 31, 2023!
Before I start talking about today's card, I first want to take the time to remember all of those brave men & women that gave up their lives for our country. We all owe them a great debt of gratitude for keeping us protected & free.
I wanted to use the smallest, flower stamp in the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set in the bundle this time, and I decided to make a field of flowers. I stamped it three times before reinking to make it look like some of the flowers are far away.
I used another stamp in the set that is good for backgrounds on the Lost Lagoon layer. It's a small stamp, but you sure can make neat backgrounds with it. It would be good as a flower-center, too.
Yesterday's Card featured four different designs in the Inked Botanicals DSP, and this one features three. This DSP pack has wonderful floral/foliage designs with a Very Vanilla background, and it also has designs in different shades of mainly one color. The designs look so good together!
I used only one of the punches in the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack from the bundle this time. This time, I punched one out of the DSP and one out of a piece of Basic White Cardstock. The Basic White one was perfect for the greeting, and the DSP one makes a great mat for it. I thought the Basic White piece was a little too bright, so I sponged some Lost Lagoon ink around the greeting to darken it up a bit.
For each of my Card Class @ Homes, I pick out one embellishment for all three cards, too. This time, I chose the Iridescent Pastel Gems. The colors go perfectly with this DSP, and there are two sizes in each color. I used two large & one small gems in the Balmy Blue color on today's card. I know Balmy Blue isn't in the DSP, but I think when they're put on Lost Lagoon, they actually look like Lost Lagoon. The Iridescent Pastel Gems are NOT included in the card kits, but you can get them added free...
If You Place a $55 Order (before shipping & tax), Using Host Code JRA9MUAD, You'll Get a Full Pack of the Iridescent Pastel Gems Added to Your Card Kits for FREE!
