12 Weeks of Fall & Halloween 2020 - Week #2

Wow! I finally got this posted! It should have been posted at 3 pm (ET), but nothing wanted to work right. I recorded the video yesterday. After I downloaded to my computer to edit, I found out my wonderful camera app was messing up the whole time I was recording it! It was too bad to fix, and it was too late to do it again last night. I did download a new video app on my phone, and it works beautifully! I re-shot the video this morning, and it did fine. When I thought I was done editing, my computer decided to have a glitch right before I saved it again, and I lost a little over half of the editing I had done! UGH! Thankfully, it's done now!

Despite the technical problems, I'm very happy with how this treat basket turned out! This idea popped into my head the very first time I saw the Autumn Goodness Bundle in the Stampin' Up! August - December 2020 Mini Catalog. I'm so glad what was in my head turned out so wonderfully in reality! You can learn how to make the basket in my video below.

The fence was made with a fence die from the die-set in the bundle, Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies. I love how the die also embosses wood grain lines into the fence posts!

I used two other products from this mini catalog...3/8" Embroidered Ribbon and Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane Bags. You can see them pretty good in the picture above. I love that the cello bags are gusseted. I was able to stretch it out so it fit the whole basket perfectly.

I was originally going to use the wheelbarrow with the pumpkin image above, but decided I like it better without it for my basket. I'm sure I'll be using the wheelbarrow on a future project, though.

I thought the Autumn Mix of candy was perfect. It has candy corn and the candy pumpkins in the mix. No, I didn't find this in the stores now...I actually used an old bag of candy from last year. Too old to eat, but perfect for a display! LoL

The above picture shows the back of the basket. It looks good, even without an image. I hope you like the project and the video below. I've also included a supply list at the bottom of the post, as usual.

Dimensions:
  • Soft Suede Cardstock (CS):  4" x 4" (basket base), 4-1/2" x 7" (fences), & 11" x 1" (handle)
  • Very Vanilla CS:  3" x 2-3/4"
  • 3/8" Embroidered Ribbon:  12"
  • Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane Bags:  1 bag

If you are reading this post in an email feed, you'll need to go to the original post to see the supply list.
